A Solar Dryer and Pan Pizza

Greetings to my hard working, obedient sisters in the Lord!

Our day was joyous and very busy, how was yours?  I thought I'd share some Titus 2 moments from the day.  Last night I hand washed some clothes and then as we were driving today, I tossed them up on the dash of the van to dry.  Even though the temps were a bit chilly, the sun shining in the windshield made it nice and warm so they dried during the drive:-)  I washed some more today but it's supposed to rain tomorrow so they'll be hanging around for a while!

Apparently some people dehydrate food on the dash of their vehicles, you just shut the windows but leave a small crack, then let the sun do it's work.  That only works for vehicles that are not constantly driving down the road, like ours.  We've had a nice route of work so we're going to take the day off from travel and hold up until the rain passes.

Brother Jim asked me this afternoon if I had any coupons for a pizza from our favorite place (they end up costing me $3) but I didn't so I surprised him and did the next best thing...made it myself!  I used a pizza dough mix that you just add water and a little oil and mixed it in a disposable bowl so I didn't have to try scrubbing dried on dough. (You all know about dried dough:-)

I kneaded it a bit then patted half of it out on my cutting board and tossed it in a hot, oiled pan.

After cooking one side a few minutes I flipped it over, topped it with sauce and cheese then put the cover on it.

It turned out pretty good for a simple pan pizza.

It made two which cost less than $1.50 total and it's actually pretty fast and easy to do. I like cold pizza better than warm, how about you?

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. Jeremiah 31:25

It's been a long day and I'm glad to be cozied up in our van for the evening. How many of you sisters look forward to the end of the day when you get to stop moving for a while and just be still? The body gets to rest and the mind can clear itself of the happenings of the day.

The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep. Ecclesiastes 5:12

Some days are harder than others but in them all, we can have peace and joy in the Lord, knowing that our labors here are but for a season. Speaking of labor, brother Jim did that, in the Word today when he went in the store.  Let me back up and say that I went in earlier to get something and as I passed by the "mask guard", she began yelling at my back about a mask.  (This store has publicly announced that you can enter without one and they will not turn you away, so we exercise that freedom that they have offered.)  I told Jim about that before he went in to get something for the van and as she asked him about the mask, he gave her a gospel card.  He often tells people that we fear God not a virus, of which many people agree but we see many who get angry about it. He then gave gospel cards to the Salvation Army bell ringers who soak people of their money while they come in and out. I'm ashamed to say that I was a part of the bell ringers for a while before I was a new creation in Christ.  I didn't know any better and thought I was doing something good, and maybe in a way it was but now on the other side of truth (the right side), I see what an unbiblical trap it is.

In my flesh I really hate this time of year because it's all about their pagan Christ-mass garbage with all the commercialism and mockery of our Savior. With us being on the road, in the middle of it all, we can't get away from it but it's good for our spirit to have to kill the flesh.  Trials are what grow and refine us, amen?  Brother Jim and I talk about that all the time, looking back at the things we've been through that have brought us to where we are now.  And there will be more ahead!  The last time we were down here in this area, we had just gone through some wicked trials in our life.  It was cold, rainy and we both struggled in our spirit for a few a while...two years later we are so much stronger, praise God, all to His glory. You should be able to look back on your life and see growth year after year and if you don't, you have a problem.

I don't talk about my parents much because they claim Christ yet live as reprobates against His name and hate to talk about the truth.  Therefore they want nothing to do with us as we are all about the Word and they are all about being against it, yet will sit in 'church' on Sunday.  I don't mean to but for some reason, every year, I think about them around this time because my dad will be a year older (In their 70's) and it's another year gone by. The hardness of man's heart, Jeremiah was right, it's wicked.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9

A prophet is without honor in his own town (Mark 6) and we pray that those who we've known, may 'hear' from someone else if they are deaf to us.  Maybe we will meet your parents, brother or sister, aunt or uncle, child or grandchild and give them the truth that they may have ears to hear. Either way, keep striving on as we do not know what God is doing in the hearts of those around us.  Brother Jim wrote post about giving a testimony, maybe you would be edified by it. You can find it <HERE>

This was our sunset tonight...

Be glad in the Lord...shout for joy... I like that.  Just reading that is uplifting amen?!

I pray you all are striving on in all obedience, thanking the Lord for the hope that lies before us.  Be strong and bold, stand on His word and press on sister saints.

Blessings and love to you all,

Sister Deb
