Combating Wickedness and Whatever Else In-between
Salutations to our Sisters in Christ!
I have a habit of doing the same things so I thought I'd change up my greeting a little:-) Regardless, I hope to have a meaningful greeting no matter what I say.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:7-10
Yesterday and today were very interesting to say the least. I've shared how we were heading into the location of a cult and that they have some very aberrant things going on. We've met some of their people before and just met some more. We were holding gospel signs in their tiny little town and a handful of them approached us and could not give answers to the testing. (You have to take time to understand the whole story in the testings and you can google them on the internet for more info. Church of Wells, Tx. ) Anyway, without going into all the details which you can see on the testing, we were just about to start the van to go there again today when a couple of their elders called and you can hear that on the testing also.
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. Micah 2:1
We have first hand experience that there are some very wicked people in that body as well as that town.
It was a 'trying' couple days but the Lord was glorified and we can see how it all worked in His plan with the timing that happened.
I found it interesting, the temp was 66 today in that town. As wicked as many of the people are, I'm surprised it didn't have another 6 on it. Jus' sayin'. We pray they repent and that no sheep wander in there.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Both brother Jim and I were tired from it all, but praise God, His glory was upheld and His truth defended. To top it off, we've been physically challenged lately.
But that too, Lord willing, shall pass. In the midst of all this, I was able to wash clothes and brother Jim put some new signs on the van. It's quite an eye catcher...stands out in a crowd:-)

As you can imagine, we get all sorts of reactions and if someone is seeking, they won't miss this rig. Just doing what we can do to shine the light of Christ in our life. You all shine it in the way the Lord calls you and throughout all this, with us being scattered around the world, His truth will be spread all over. Praise God!
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14
They have these awesome water and ice stands down south.
Sometimes we find water at waysides or truck stops but when we can't, these are a blessing! We were also blessed with some more 'fake meat' as I call it:-) that plant based stuff is pretty good especially when I can stack coupons for a great price and stretch one package into many meals. Like mini tacos with cheese crisps from a free coupon.
And it's good mixed in rice with veggies.
And something sweet to end the post...brother Jim said I should share this as you might appreciate some art that we made for our granddaughter. During our last visit she tried to give me a brick of her clay and I kindly tried to refuse but she hid it in our van when we weren't looking. Brother Jim and I finally got around to making some things then sent the pictures,
Precious little souls. You sisters who raise children are surely blessed to raise them in the Lord. Brother Jim witnessed to a beggar who was laying in a busy parking lot, you can listen to that HERE.
Let's thank the Lord, for He is good and see what tomorrow brings. Thank you to the sisters who's calling is to edify others, you're doing a good job even if you're on the other side of the world:-)
