Got a Lot Done On This Trip
Praises to our obedient sisters!
May the Lord be glorified in our lives, amen!
Once again I have no clue what to title my post and sometimes I'm pretty black and white, lacking creativity and other days, well it flows better.
We have a destination in mind that once we get there, we will hold up for several days working online ministry, street sign flying and potentially go stand out at a religious place. We are 2 hours away and planning on being there tomorrow, Lord willing.
It was a beautiful day to travel and we actually accomplished a lot during this trip. In one town, we really redeemed the time:
* Free lunch from a coupon
* Completed a job
* Took a walk
* While taking a walk brother Jim made an audio
* Redeemed a coupon for bagels in a store
* While in the store getting bagels I gave the gospel to a woman worker
* Free water from the gas station
* Brother Jim gave the gospel to two gas station workers
When we arrived in this town (thanking the Lord) for the night, we got gas and saw a water spigot by the pumps. I decided to wash some shirts with our water and plan to go refill tomorrow before we leave. What a joy to be able to catch up on laundry. It's tricky on the road because I can't just do it at any time, it has to be planned out based on water availability, weather, location (need a bit of privacy, even a tree will do for coverage:-) travel etc.
I made a few little videos as we were traveling through pecan country. There were miles and miles of pecan trees.
Pretty amazing how God provides food in such ways.
We see all sorts of crazy things on the road.
It's too bad they aren't biblical believers displaying the truth of God's word with so much zeal. As brother Jim says, you can be a sports fanatic or a fanatic about politics but if you are true follower of Christ you are looked down upon for being a fanatic, used as a derogatory term. But so be it, call me whatever you want, the Lord knows the truth, amen sisters?
I'll share a Titus 2 keeper of the rolling home chore with you. When you live in a van and it's cold out, you have a lot of blankets. A LOT. Then as we move to warmer climates I remove some. Then if we go into colder I add some. Back and forth go the blankets. So the issue is that I can't just fold them and put them away in a closet. I have to lift out everything from the side of the bed, fold the blankets just right to fit, then reposition everything back on top of the blankets. Then 2 days later it's either hotter or colder and the process goes that way for a while. Where we're heading though (Florida), the weather is pretty nominal so I don't have to do that too much :-)
I pray you are all strong in the Lord and if you are suffering physical ailments, I hope the Lord allows you to recover quickly.
We drove through a neighborhood with a lot of windows boarded up on the houses, much debris laying around, people wandering around.... We have encountered quite a few towns like that throughout our travels and it just shows the destruction of sin and how it is taught from one generation to another.
There is hope for all though isn't there sisters!
God commands men every man to repent (Acts 17:30) and if they do, they can become a new creation with the Holy Spirit.
What a peaceful setting:-)
Psalm 84:8-12
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Let us all walk uprightly sisters in the Lord. My prayer is that you all endure until the Lord brings you home and we shall all come together....
Revelation 19:5-9
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
"The wife hath made herself ready'...let that be us sisters.
Have a joyous evening.
Love to you all,
Sister Deb
