The Music Highway and Fleshly Ways (with a traveling video)
Good evening faithful sister saints!
Praises to the King of King and Lord of Lords for all He has done. Let us rejoice and sing unto the heavens with joy and thanksgiving:-) Brother Jim and I were traveling today and I made another video for you. You can see it <HERE>.
We saw this sign on the highway...
The verse listed on the sign is Matthew 11:28. While that's true, it leads one to think that they need Jesus to make their life better because they are heavy laden. What people need to know is that they are in sin and in need of a Savior, who has made the way through faith in Him. Then in repentance they turn from their worldly ways to the ways of God and become a new creation as they are born from above. Then, it doesn't stop there, it goes on, contrary to evangelical religious teachings....one must walk in holiness and obedience and endure until the end. Amen sisters?
We've arrived at our destination for the night and maybe another night, we don't know. We're not sure which direction we're going after this but we'll see about that tomorrow if the Lord gives it to us. I go to sleep at night not worrying about the next day and trusting in the Father that He watches over us in the night, His will be done. I was thinking about the little children I see in the stores, so sweet and innocent, only concerned with right now. 3 hours from now is not something they are bothered with, it's what's going on while they're being pushed in the cart. That moment is their concern, and it should be ours as well, in each one we kill our flesh and give ourselves to the Lord.
Brother Jim killed his flesh the other day when he saw this big cart full of discount bakery:-)
There's always the temptation of discount goodies for super low prices but we bypass them, most of the time:-) Speaking of goodies, we have lots of these...
We were blessed to find them at the discount store the last time we were by the homestead and bought a case for just under .30 cents per package.
The other morning as we were taking down our shields on the windows and going to move ourselves off to the side more where the sun could shine in, a semi truck pulled into the lot and as he was trying to straighten out, he got within inches of our van door. It was pretty interesting seeing that big truck nose right by the mirror.
Not long later a car squeezed inbetween the truck and our van trying to cut across the parking lot. I'm telling you, it's almost more dangerous in the parking lots than it is on the roads. Speaking of parking lots, I've mentioned this before about the night time street sweeper that comes through (thankfully it only happens here and there). I found an old video I made and uploaded it so you can see it if you want <HERE>
Just a few things about being on the road. I enjoy seeing the lives of sisters on in their homes working their gardens, cooking meals, projects, canning etc, I think some are interested in road life which is a bit different. We can share our lives even when we're a long way apart!
Today I share these flowers with you.
They look so delicate but most plants can stand up to much in the way of weather tribulations amen? Let that be us sisters, strong and solid like the stems of the plants....
John 15:1-7
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. [2] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. [3] Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. [4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. [5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. [6] If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
