A Seeking Young Woman
Good evening sisters in Christ!
I'm joyous to report that we were blessed with a wonderful witnessing opportunity. We were parked in a very visible spot in a busy park with all our signs on.
Many people saw, some slowed to take pictures and some stopped to talk. A woman stopped and we gave her a gospel card, explained about man made religion not keeping God's Word and practicing lies. She claimed to have a 'relationship' with Jesus and admitted to doing pagan Christ Mass but clung to her 'own personal belief' in Christ even though brother Jim tried to show her the sins of man made religion. She ended up driving away. Shortly after that a mother and daughter (daughter 26 yrs old) stopped and the daughter got out to talk. You can hear the audio HERE.
If you could have seen her face, she was all about agreeing, very intently listening and it was awesome to see the 'light' go on inside her as she understood what was being said. Sisters, it was really refreshing when she didn't push back one bit when it came to clothing and in fact was adding to the conversation. She had a simple character about her and seems to have faith like a child. We pray she strives on as she is up against her family who are all involved in the 'church' they go to, run by her uncle.
Okay, I'm going back to the clothing part for a minute because that's probably the BIGGEST issue we have with women, but she, when told headcoverings are biblical, smiled and was excited. She said 'I saw yours' and later asked how she would cover hers.
The Word of God is so precious and we see it trampled on, day after day after day after day and when we see someone grasp it and cherish it (we pray that continues on in growth and endurance for her), it's refreshing to our soul.
I just wanted to share that with you, there are sheep out there, let's pray that the wolves don't devour them but I have comfort knowing that our Savior said...
Jeremiah 29:12-13
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Matthew 7 says to seek and YE WILL FIND. Anyone who seeks WILL find but it has to be done diligently and as in Jeremiah, with ALL your heart.
Matthew 9:37-38
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; [38] Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
The laborers are few and it's a wicked world out here. It makes me think of a video brother Jim did and in it he 'encourages' biblical men to get out and witness....you can see it HERE. And, since I posted that video I have to say I sometimes find myself having to repent of anger when we're out on the streets and I see brother Jim contending so diligently against the WOLVES THAT ARE ALL OVER and then I think about the men we've met, claiming Christ and they are the ones 'eating pizza on the patio' (like he said in the video.) I see me, a woman with the physical issues I deal with, enduring through the hardships of it, (and I don't say that to bring pity on me because I don't want it so don't give it to me please), I say it because it shows the magnitude of the cowardly 'professed Christian' men out there that are too afraid to stand boldly on the truth or even get up and do something about it. I'm going where I ought not to go so I better end my confession.) I will add this though...We see it happening often, how God is using the weak to confound the wise, go read 1 Corinthians 1:27 and in that, we see Him using meek and quiet women to shame the men. I don't say this to boast up women, but to show the reality of what we are up against in this wicked world.
It looks like we're heading down the road tomorrow, Lord willing, and who shall we meet along the way? I can't keep up on all the witnessing that goes on, it reminds me of all the miracles Jesus did that the books can't contain them all but the word is going out. Nope, I'm not boasting, just sharing with those of you who are following along and wondering how it's going.
On we go and I pray you are as well.
Love to you all and the saints worldwide.
