Lopsided Love

Good afternoon to my obedient sisters!

How is your day going?  We are busy in the Lord and once again I will say it...God's perfect timing!!!  We decided to hold off on the street preaching today because there was a call for rain so we decided to go to a busy parking lot and work online ministry. I think the engine of the van was just barely turned off when a man walked up to brother Jim's window to talk.  He said he hands out bibles and quoted some scriptures and brother Jim helped him along with a biblical gospel.  (Based on the conversation, we question the truth of his story but God knows and he now has the real Truth :-) They talked for a bit and he left to get on a bus that he was hitching a ride from as he traveled around.

This is interesting because just yesterday I wrote here on the sisters blog that I was hoping to have opportunities to share the truth with more women.  (I go fishing every day in the store and fly my biblical sign on my basket but the opportunities are rare.)  I also had this increasing feeling of wanting to defend God's word from the women constantly tell us God is all love...all the time!  It's lopsided love and here's where the interesting part comes in...

Brother Jim had just finished a post called "It is fearful when people do not fear God."  In it he talks about how people are telling us we need to be preaching more about God's love and then outlines how many times love is used in the Old Testament and the New and what context they are used in. Nothing close to what everyone thinks... they have a lopsided love.  Anyway, you should go read it....HERE.

Just moments after he published it and told me to go check it out, I was pulling it up on my computer and a woman walked up to our van door and said:

"I know you are taking a break but has anyone told you that God loves you?  If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart, you will be saved."   Brother Jim caught the last bit on video before she walked away.

Brother Jim and I were looking at each other and shaking our heads.  The wicked workers of satan, coming in to tell us that right at the time when we were just going over the lies of it being used in false gospels.   And before you get mad and say that I shouldn't be saying things referencing 'wicked workers of satan' did she not come preaching lies and then reject the truth and walk away when I tried to correct her?  She does not love the truth of God's word (nor did she show us love), she loves the lies she's spreading.  Take it for what it's worth, it is what it is. We see it all the time and I'm ready to fight against it.

God LOVED the world by sending Jesus and He now loves those who are His.  In fact he HATES the wicked people.  I know I've said it before but I'm saying it again so we can all be reminded to fear God as it is the beginning of wisdom and most people lack that fear.

Psalm 5:5

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

and

Psalm 11:5

The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

She was a worker of iniquity and so are all those out on the streets that twist their lopsided love to be something that it's not.

So there you go....I had just been asking the Lord to give me more opportunities in witnessing and contending in the faith, brother Jim writes a post about the truth of 'love', and right away we see it all play out. Our Father is too good to His children.

I'm sure you sisters see that in your life as well.  When you are strong in the scriptures, stand boldly on the truth, are ready to give an answer and asking God to use you, He will work it all out.  Our Savior is so precious, how can we not want to work hard to be ready to serve Him?!

The precious blood of our Savior is being trampled by the masses, let us strive to bring honor and glory to Him in all our ways.

Tomorrow we may be within the masses again, we shall see, and I'm ready to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude) and share the life giving gospel with those who are seeking.

A hearty thank you to all you striving sister saints who are laboring for the Lord and encouraging the sisters!

Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus, Amen.
