Peace in Storms

Peace and blessings to my obedient sisters who are following after Christ,

I told brother Jim about the videos I was going to post today and asked for a title, of which he gave me Peace in Storms.

We decided to travel to the other side of the state and when we got here, we were only 4 miles from a beach  and due to parking restraints, we only had 30 minutes but each minute was a precious gift to us, of which we are thankful.  God was gracious enough to allow us to partake of His amazing creation...

The videos are nothing compared to the greatness of it all but it's what I can to to share the the glory of our Creator God with  my sisters all over the world.

We had to cross this high bridge on the way there and back and I've already told you I don't like bridges, but that day I didn't care, I was just thankful.

We have had to weather some raging storms lately but the Lord God is merciful unto us and while in the midst of them, He calmed them, and brought peace.

Psalm 107:28-32
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.  He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

Brother Jim was saying that when he looks at the ocean, he sees life and death.  Life that is teeming within the waters all the way to the depths of it yet it can be death to the one who falls into it.

I like to look out and see how it seems peaceful, calm and serene but as it gets closer, the power grows and the waves force their way inland and as storms rage, it's even more powerful.  Pressing and pressing until it reaches as far as it can go.  It can cause much damage for those living too close to it, just like living too close to sin.  You may think you are far enough away (beyond it) but it can creep in, each time it comes in like the waves and goes a little further and a little more until it's right where it needs to be to come crashing down on you and pull you away.

1 Corinthians 10:12-13
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. [13] There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it..

Yes, we know that can happen as we've just been through some of those storms.

Just before though, brother Jim said that he reminded himself to be like Noah like he tells other men to do it as there truly are few.  Not long after that, the storms hit us and the flood waters rose, and before we could be drug to the bottom of the ocean like Jonah, God sent a Noah.  Literally a man named Noah, who didn't know that the question he asked brother Jim gave us many answers.

Our Father is a loving and caring Father to His children and when He sees them in a storm, calling out for help, He can calm it and bring them peace.

Romans 8:14-23
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. [18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. [19] For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. [20] For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, [21] Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. [22] For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [23] And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Brother Jim made a video that goes along with this topic.

Glory to God!
