A Day in the Life (March 27, 2021) with videos

 Good day sister saints!

Are you being a soldier of the Lord today?!  We woke up and shortly after, it started raining...

The hail didn't last long but the rain came and went throughout the day, and is coming down once again.  Brother Jim made a video about some lights we have....

And we made a video on how to make a simple chili.  Brother Jim's going to use it on his van dwelling tips, you can see them HERE. We'll be adding to it as we go, simple, good and pure things to help others that we know who are either in the van life or contemplating it.

Praise God for a simple life and the less we have and do in this world, the easier it is to get through.  Most of the women of old didn't have all these modern conveniences we have today and had to do all things the hard way.  How grateful would they be to have running water or lights?  Not to mention all the other things that we have today but are we grateful for all those things?  Sadly I can guarantee that we are not because we've become used to them and I might say that sometimes we think we deserve such ease in this life but is that what we see in scripture?

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (Genesis 3:19)

Because of sin, man's daily living was made harder but we see that man is making everything easier....or is he?  It's rapidly progressing to robots doing much of man's work and who knows what will become of all the merging of computers and human brains?  I'm not going off in that direction but what I do want to point out is that the harder way usually is the best way because we appreciate more, what we have when we're done. Ponder that for a while as you look about you to make your life more simple and less complicated.

Speaking of less complicated, this might make you smile.  An uncomplicated video of a little snack...

I love God's creation and all the diversity.  Look at that peanut. It grows in the ground, you can roast / salt it and it's a healthy snack.  There you go, another example of how we've simplified everything today, we have shelled peanuts in a jar that we can buy. (No its not sinful and we buy them also, I'm just using a comparison is all.)   So yeah, I made a video about shelling peanuts because I'm fascinated with the creation of our Father and I like doing things the old fashioned way:-)

Want something else simple?

Yep, turkey sausage from the discount store and eggs from the dollar store. I'd cook some for you if you were here:-)  Someday we will all be together with the Lord if we truly are of His and striving until the end.

Here are a few plaques I saw in the store.

Something like that is almost lifting up a person by making them think they are great in their faithfulness but it's about God's faithfulness in not destroying those who are following after Him.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

This gives the context...

And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.  So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. (Nehemiah 8:9-11)

You have to be careful with translations such as using the word 'smile'.  Go check out the greek word of 'shine' and you'll see.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:  The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:  The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:5-7)

And one more simple thing that will make you smile. Hold on, as I type this we decided to go find our parking spot, I'll be right back.

Praise God for a place to rest our head.  Back to that simple thing...

Brother Jim going to get water:-)  He not only preaches the GOSPEL, we take turns getting water:-)

I hope your evening is joyous and until we meet here again....be strong sisters.

Blessings and love to you,

Sister Deb
