Fear and Being Refreshed

 Good evening sisters!

I hope you are all doing well today, looking for the hope ahead if we endure!  Today was very refreshing for us as we met another believer, a man living in his van in a parking lot.  Brother Jim met him last night and they talked a long while all about the the Lord.  This morning I made a cup of coffee for him and brother Jim took it over and talked for quite some time and then brother Jim offered lunch.  I was thankful that I had some coupons for pizza and we shared a delicious lunch all the while sitting in the parking lot talking about the Lord and His Word.

He's got a child like faith with much knowledge in the truth, wanting to please the Lord in all ways and in fact, immediately made some changes to his life when shown in the word.  He said many times how he loves God, that's rare for us to hear and also showed godly love toward other saints.

Brotherly hugs were given and brother Jim offered daily encouragement and accountability which this man greatly appreciated.  He's been texting with brother Jim all day and just sent a question that brother Jim said I could share here.

Question: Can you explain fear and trembling? Is it something inside or physical?

Here's just a part of brother Jim's response. (Brother Jim's is by the blue line.)

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12)

Oh, what rare words.... to hear someone want to understand the fear of God in a wicked world where everyone lifts themselves up over God becoming little god's themselves.

I'm not going to teach on fear but will share some scriptures about it.

We know this....

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

...and this...

And this:

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30)

And we see fear of being left outside such as the 5 unwise virgins.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. (Matthew 25:11-12)

Let that not be us.

And there's more:

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27)

Do a word search on fear and let it sink in. Sisters, don't allow your flesh to become complacent and lose that fear of the Lord because our salvation is NOT guaranteed.  We must endure through this life in the truth with obedience as fruits of our faith. Read Matthew 24:13 for that.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Luke 5:3)

Praise God for His precious word and to be able to share it with others.

The Lord has His people scattered all over the world, we may be alone in the flesh but we are not alone in Spirit, which is the most important because the flesh will be dust again soon.  Go sisters, share the GOSPEL and you never know who may be in your area that comes to the Lord.

Brother Jim just made a new audio teaching that you will find greatly edifying HERE.

Let us continue to pray for the saints we know and those who we don't know but know they are out there, if that makes sense:-)  I'm off now to take care of a project that is much needed and I'll be back tomorrow to encourage you on, Lord willing:-)

Love and blessings to my obedient sister saints.
