Giving Blood and the Shed Blood

 Good afternoon sister saints!

Praise the Lord for another day to serve Him.  What a precious gift we have to be able to share this life saving truth with the world and because we should take that serious, we do the best we can in every are of our life to share this awesome truth.  Ministry online, face to face, phone, email, text, on the streets and we drive around with signs all over our van.

Rather like a loud scream for the Lord, in a wicked world.  We see that those who are interested and potentially being moved by the Spirit, come to talk and the rest just go on their way.

We want for none to perish but we know most will.  We spend a lot of time in parking lots...

...and get a lot of witnessing in there but it's sad because as I look at these people coming and going, we know that 'few' will be in the kingdom of God.  And you see that as well in your life don't you? But we cannot focus on that as we know from the beginning it was so.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. (John 1:9-11)

But if we keep reading we are encouraged aren't we?

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13 )

And the idea for this post came from this...

We pulled into this parking lot to catch up on some ministry before we go out on the street and saw this bus that collects blood from people.  (What a clever name huh, ' blood vessel'.)

We know the life of flesh is in the blood:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

And we know the blood of Christ is what gives us life.

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:20-21)

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14)

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:10-14)

I could go on about this but for fear of overstepping my bounds as a godly woman, leaving the teaching to men, I will leave us as a reminder of this warning.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29)

Let us redeem the time because the days are evil, not trampling the blood of Christ by living in our flesh.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:11-14)

Be sure your life is in truth, see the GOSPEL and test yourself to the Word of God. If you truly are a daughter of the most High God, are you walking in all holiness and obedience?  Yes, us godly women are to live a quiet life and the responsibility of the home is ours but let us not get swept away in gardening, canning, cooking, cleaning etc and overlook reaching out with the gospel, daily encouragement between sisters and shining our light to the world.  Are you looking for ways to share this truth and LIGHT?

Some day we may shed our blood for the cause of Christ, are you ready?

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. (Matthew 25:31-33)

We won't know what day that will be so we must be ready, striving in all things of the Lord.  Let me know how I can encourage you.

Love to all our obedient sisters in Christ,
Sister Deb
