A Day on the Road Witnessing and a Scripture Reading Audio
Greetings sisters!
Today I have another round of videos for you of our day and an audio from yesterday so it's a few different things without a specific title or topic but all around the glory of the Lord.
The link to the Amish / Hindu witnessing experience is HERE.
Here's something interesting about the witnessing incident today at the gas station. Brother Jim brought in our big ice container and was at the counter getting ready to pay for it when the woman at the register said it was on her. (That means free.). She said she saw our van and that she loves God too and she wanted us to have the ice for free. The Amish people standing by brother Jim in line said nothing. Then when he witnessed to them outside they had very little to say. Then when we were driving away brother Jim slowed down by them, talked to them again and they had nothing to say. I found it quite interesting that a worldly looking woman (the one at the cash register) was the one who head some sort of reverence for God. Of course brother Jim gave her a gospel card and down the road we went.
The next video is of a camper we checked out and I thought you might like to see it. We don't normally stop but sometimes we do look to see if something might be feasible for a brother who might be looking to go on the road preaching the GOSPEL .
Brother Jim found out the price is $18000. That's a lot, just saying... because our van and everything we did to make it into a camper was less than $5000. You don't need much to survive on the road.
Speaking of being on the road, we have arrived at our nightly destination and we'll see if there will be any more witnessing to be had. I have an audio to share with you HERE.
The scripture verses I read in the audio go along well with what we were saying in the videos about hiding God's word in your heart and being prepared. We need to be actively pressing forth in God's word and obedience in order to be strong for what is coming ahead.
Praise God we can have all we need from Him to endure.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Speaking of enduring, brother Jim did a post a couple days ago about how he endured through some trials, you might want to see it HERE. And speaking of enduring he's been dealing with a man on email and as we were traveling I was reading the email to brother Jim while he was driving. I got to this part and had to share it with you.
That's his attempt to twist the scriptures that void his 'Calvinist, once saved always saved, no free will, God does it all' view. He's no match for the scriptures which is why he just tossed them all aside. He can't win against God's Word and Truth. Hopefully he repents and stops spreading such lies.
For a quick look into a Titus 2 project, the other day I found a coat at the thrift store and it had an embroidered patch that needed to be removed so I got a seam ripper and went at it.
It wasn't too long when I realized it wasn't going to work very well so brother Jim suggested this.
I had to go over it a few times and then will need to refersh it every so often but until (if) I sew a patch over it, it'll work just fine. Years ago i turned a pair of black and turquoise blue shoes all black with the diligent work of a marker. Yep, my shoes looked like I colored over the blue with a marker but I didn't care, nor do I today. It's all going to burn anyway and we'll be dust some day so why would I waste my time on things like that when I would rather focus on the eternal?
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5
Well, I hope you were edified by the encouragement of the Word and by coming along with us in our day. It's not over yet so there may be some from today to share tomorrow? We shall see!
May the Lord bless and watch over His daughters:-)
