On Time

🌻 Good evening sisters! 🌻

I hope you are all well :-)  Let us rejoice and praise the Lord on this day as we don't know if we will get another one and who wants regrets?  Not me!  Our time is the Lord's anyway so we do what we can in the days we have and make sure we are always prioritizing them correctly, the best we can.  Today I prioritized a video for you, reading Psalm 8 :-) Hopefully it's an encouragement and lifts you up!

Some days we can only do so much and we can't get upset about our days not going the way we want and we didn't get done what we planned on as we are to be content in much and little.  Now on the other hand if we squandered away our time in the day and then tried to catch up, that is our own fault and we need to repent and do better.  That would most certainly qualify for having regrets so lets constantly examine ourselves to make sure we are making best use of our time.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.  Ephesians 5:15-17

We sisters have quite a few jobs to take care of from Titus 2, Proverbs 31 and you may be a helpmeet to your husband, a servant to others and you could have children as well in the midst of all that.

Having the role of being a servant as a godly woman takes precedence over what our desires are and in that I mean we could have good and godly desires but are not able to accomplish them because our roles keep us plenty busy.  Let's make sure that our desires do not cause any reason to not be content if we cannot fulfill them as if we are true to the Word of God in our obedience, we will be doing His will, not our own, and it will all be good.  (Reference Mary and Martha...) What I mean is that we, as godly women, could be desiring such works as more ministry, some quiet time, more fellowship time with sisters, more time to clean and organize, more time to shop for sales, more time for a bigger garden etc.  Those are all good and godly but if they do not fit in  your busy schedule (providing you are using your time wisely in the Lord) you need to be content with what you can do within the life you have right now.

There's a time for everything and even in lives that seem to be repetitious, you see that not every single day is exactly the same.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Usually we get distracted or distressed because we set goals for ourselves that may not need to be set.  (Maybe some do) but we need to examine them all to make sure they are still in alignment with our basic functions that we are to take care of in our days.  Feeding our family, clothing them and taking care of the homes we have as well as tending to their the needs of those in our life.  Be careful that whatever you plan outside that does not take away from what needs to be done and replaced with what you 'want' done.

I'm sure there are those of you who have messy closets or a basement that is stacked full of things to organize. Or maybe your garden doesn't get weeded enough and the clothes always wrinkle in the laundry basket before you get them put away.  Don't stress over such things sisters, just be thankful for the basics each day and anything above that is a blessing.

Just my thoughts for the day and maybe it has helped encourage one  of you, or maybe it just encouraged me:-) !

(Thank you sister for the scripture pictures:-)

So, for my born again, obedient sister saints, I encourage you to strive on in joyful endurance until the end because we have the hope that lies before us, because of what our precious Savior has done.  Build your foundation on the biblical GOSPEL and your house (life) will not be easily shaken.

Speaking of foundation, brother Jim did a good teaching in reference to that HERE.

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.  For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:14-18

Love to you all, in Christ,

Sister Deb
