The Gospel and Grandchildren

 Good day sister saints!!!

I hope you are all doing well today, serving this great God of ours!  Today I thought I'd share about the GOSPEL going out and our visit with the grandchildren, all glorifying to God.  Praise the Lord it was a super day for sharing His word and truth as we couldn't have planned it out ourselves, how the word would go out.  I'll share the day here as I  know you sisters will rejoice in the gospel going out to strangers and for little children to be filled with His truth!

We met them in a beautiful park...

And spent the day together doing good and wholesome activities like helping them, walking down a long path in the shade of big trees....

...and playing a simple yard game.

Brother Jim helped our grandson learn how to make a slinghshot.  You can find that video HERE.

But most important sisters, they soaked up God's Word and Truth!!!!! 3 souls, hungry to talk about and share the word of God!  In such a dark world it was such a great gift for us to see it received so gratefully and enthusiastically without any push back or doubt.  We have shared much truth with the oldest 2 (13 and 9) over the years and we were joyful that they had retained it and learned more since we we last saw them as they had been reading their bibles.  The youngest one (6 yrs) remembered what we taught the last couple times and she asked a lot of questions and eagerly listened to every word.  (I've shared before but will again for those who don't know, our children were grown and gone before we were born again but praise God they allow us to see the grandchildren and share His truth.)

The 2 girls and I were in the van cooking some pasta salad...

...and while doing so we talked about the gospel, sin, repentance, Jesus coming to pay for our sins and when dinner was almost ready, brother Jim came over and was talking to them of which I recorded a couple little clips to share here.  (Yes, they were happy about sharing!)

I warned them that the devil will be coming after them as they grow older, to take these seeds of truth from them and try to deceive them like he did to Eve in the garden.  They asked for a gospel card and the oldest asked for another bible.  At one point before they were leaving, the youngest granddaughter said "Nana, if the devil comes to try to get me, can I show him this gospel card and he will go away?"  So sweet.  I reminded her that he doesn't have a body but is like the spirit we talked about (for as much as a little girl can grasp that concept) and that if she goes to God in prayer, like we talked about, that God would help her.  She said 'But can I call you and you can help me too?'  :-)

After a wonderful day, as it was winding down, a group of people were setting up their picnic and fishing right in front of our van.  At one point one of the women walked over and asked about our van and her sister and friend came over also.  We shared the gospel with them all and we asked about husbands and one woman said her husband was meeting them there soon.  Shortly after he got there and brother Jim shared about the deception of man made religion, the true gospel and how we are to come out of the world (they claimed to be believers.)  In between this their son came over, the rest of the people could hear and we had a great talk with them. The woman asked me about my conversion, how to put down ourselves as women so the men can lead, how to become born again, all while the man was talking to brother Jim about how hard it would be to come out of the world etc.  It was awesome and went on for quite some time.  And guess what?  The grandchildren witnessed it all and were listening, being very obedient and attentive.  They've known what Papa and Nana do (traveling around sharing the gospel), now they all got to witness it first hand.  Praise God!!!!

As they were getting ready to go back home with their mom who came back to pick them up,  I told the girls they did a great job being quiet, listening and not interrupting.  The youngest one said 'Nana, if I love God and go to heaven, will He remember that?'  The day was filled with the sharing of the gospel and the awesome truth of God to receptive souls both young and older.

The day was so uplifting especially since we had just gone through some very trying times in our ministry just recently and in the not too long past.  To be able to pour out to receptive souls was a blessing, treasure and a gift.  Let us all rejoice together as God was glorified and many people got the truth.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?  And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.   Matthew 18:1-6

If only adults would receive the truth so readily...but we all press on shining our light and holding fast to the truth, knowing we have glorified our Father with our lives lived for Him.

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.  And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.  Romans 15:9-11

I hope you were blessed by this and we shall see what comes of tomorrow.

As we parked for the night, we were blessed with this sunset.

Today we traveled a short way to another town to fly signs and some work...

Lord willing I will be back here to encourage you all on and share what the Lord is doing with the lives of two saints striving on, glorifying the Father. Speaking of life, brother Jim did an audio called 'Does your life speak life?'  You can find it HERE.

Love, peace, blessings and joy,

Sister Deb

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.  1 Peter 1:7-9
