Where We Going?
Good evening sisters!
Oftentimes brother Jim and I ask that question...
"Where are we going?"
When it comes to a direction to travel. Sometimes it's dictated by events we might try to preach at, other times it might be some jobs and then sometimes we head out in the right direction.... Every destination ends up being fruitful for sharing the GOSPEL. I don't know what fruit comes of those who it's given to but we just be faithful!
Here's a bit of our journey to where we are now...
But more importantly.... Where are we (and you) going when it comes to eternity? There are only 2 choices...
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:8
Heaven and hell. God has given us a choice...
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
Sadly, many choose man-made religion over the truth of God. A sister just shared this passage...
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. John 4:19-22
Truth....that's the key because believing and following after lies will leave you outside the gates of heaven.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into their city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Revelation 22:14-15
That's why we are out on the streets preaching the biblical gospel and warning people about the massive deception.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Acts 2:22-36
Praise God for His precious promises!!!
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1 Peter 1:18-25
What a great hope for those who are truly following after our Savior Jesus Christ. Let us strive to enter in....
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:24
So we don't hear this...
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23
We have the hope of eternal life with the Father if we faithfully endure until the end...
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:. Hebrews 6:11

We are thankful for a parking spot tonight.
Although there is a little bit of noise from the airport :-)
We've been thankful to be able to stay at gas stations / truck stops lately. They seem to offer us a little bit more freedom than some of the other parking lots. Wherever we park we usually give the store some business so brother Jim went about the business of finding some discount bakery LOL
Oh yum, carrot cake :-) what a nice treat.
A snack for tonight and some for breakfast tomorrow :-)
We were also blessed with some macaroni samples from our favorite gas station for lunch that went along well with a little bit of left over potato salad and beans.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15
And I was blessed to be able to see these this morning...
Praise God for his amazing creation! Let us rejoice together :-)
Well I'm not sure if we're traveling or where we're going tomorrow but I do know we will be traveling on the path to eternal life. What about you?
