A Day in the Life (July 6, 2021)

 Good evening sister saints!!!

Amen, all that goes on in this life is nothing compared to being with Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,. Philippians 3:8

Praise God we had safe travels today...

Look close and you will see a man perched on the side of the helicopter working on the power lines.

It makes me think of this....

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.  Matthew 4:7

We had some work along the way and the best part was some awesome witnessing as soon as we got here.  I share some of it, to God's glory, in the video below.

Praise the Lord, let the word go out and let saints shine our lights as godly women in this world.  We keep running into people who are bent on defending the keeping of sin.  They obviously have not read this:

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.  Romans 6:1-18

A man today said that if something is the truth, we shouldn't have to defend it. Brother Jim shared some scripture verses with him including this:

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.  Jude 1:3

Yep, that causes contention that people don't like.  They usually call it 'arguing' and pose it in a negative way whereas the bible says iron sharpens iron, amen?  Praise God for His truth!

I was blessed to be able to do one of my favorite Titus 2 duties yesterday because we found this:

So I was able to do this:

(I washed clothes then hung them around the van while we were driving. They dried nicely!) We saw this bumper sticker on an rv as we were driving...

We saints of Christ, know that our real home is not here:

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:  Philippians 3:20

But while we're here on the earth it is nice to have some sort of place to call home, or refuge as a sister and I refer to it as being, a little break from the world.  We are richly blessed sister saints with the precious truth of God and our needs being met, amen?!

The other day while we were at the patriotic festival witnessing, brother Jim made a new sign...

It was hot that day so this was a welcome sight...

What a blessing.

We left the big city behind the other day...

...and will be stopped here in this smaller town through tomorrow, then heading down the road to another big city.  We truly appreciate the travel inbetween, it's almost cleansing:-)  Praise God for simple things like awesome flowers...

And tomatoes...lol

Let nature teach us lessons right?  They are flourishing even in a small container, defying logic as they usually need something bigger to sustain the growth.  Pretty awesome. Rather like the mustard seed amen sisters?

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Matthew 17:20

So I told you about going into the thrift store and finding a thermos, well check this out.

I looked in the store today and the one I bought for $1 today is normally $12.87.  I'll share some as a Titus 2 moment when I try to cook a small amount of rice in it...lol we'll see how that turns out and I'll bring you along as I try it:-)

More Titus 2, since that's supposed to be a big focus for us godly women. I found a good deal on cocoa and decided to mix up a chocolate milk drink.  I'm going to play around with it to turn it into iced coffee so once I get that done I'll share the recipe or better yet let's make some together.

Lol my blender box looks like it came out of a grandma's basement!

It's a cheap $13 blender that's been going for a couple years now!  Praise God we're thankful for it on hot days:-)

This next picture is a cute gift from a sister who lives far away but is close in spirit.

She faithfully encourages the saints and looks after them in prayer.  (You can probably guess it's her peeking in from the top right:-)  She also shares scripture pictures, thank you sister.  I'm so thankful for the faithful sisters who reach out and are consistently encouraging the saints, steadfast in the faith and unwavering, solid as a rock in Truth.  Praise God!

I pray for all of you to stand strong in the Lord and let me know if I can help encourage you in the areas we women can encourage one another.  Brother Jim offers some encouraging updates HERE :-)

Keep your armor on, hold fast and know that we are praying for you.

Love, blessings, peace and joy,

Sister Deb

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7
