A Day In The Life ( August 18, 2021)
Good evening sister saints!
Glory to God for another day:-) How was yours?
God blessed us this morning and I thought I'd share it with you. In this ministry we can have a roller coaster of emotions and trials because we see on the front line, thousands of souls heading off into the darkness and every so often we see a light in someone, and we rejoice. I'll be honest, it can sometimes wear on a person seeing darkness after darkness but brother Jim was just saying how the Father watches over us and lifts us up when we need it. Last night was one of those roller coaster times when we saw people we knew, have gone back to the vomit that they claimed to have left and are now melding back into man made religion and by their (now) unbiblical theology are on the road to everlasting destruction. But in the midst of trials, our Father is so gracious, we woke up to several uplifting emails and messages from saints even though they didn't know what was going on. Then brother Jim was able to witness to a trucker this morning, you can find that on his update HERE. That was awesome and encouraging. Then when we got to Mt Rushmore we were in the van getting ready and I saw a young boy looking at our van and pointing at us and talking to his dad. I smiled and waved at the young boy and a few minutes later the dad came over to talk and give us this gift....
... thank us for what we are doing. (All the glory to God!) It was an interesting talk and you can find it HERE with the street preaching videos from the day. We were greatly blessed and thankful for the conversation with him and his encouragement. I share that all not because there is anything special about us because there isn't. We're just vessels to be used of the Lord and we obediently (out of our love for Him) do His work that He has called us to in our ministry. Keep that in remembrance when you are living your life and getting stretched, trust that the Father will give you what you need when you need it. He does and I'm sure many of you can attest to that. He's an awesome Father.
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Luke 11:9-13
I was also blessed to be able to hand out many gospel cards which in a couple cases brought about conversations so I was thanking God for that. And I was able to witness to a woman, you can hear some of it HERE. I rejoiced in the Lord to share truth.
While we were there we were blessed with shade and nice scenery behind us as the people walked by on the wide sidewalk area. It reminded me of the wide road to destruction that they are on if they don't repent.
And we were calling them off it and to get on the narrow road.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
This morning we saw this semi carrying a big load...
Then we passed it on the way to preach.
And I made a couple travel videos to share with you. The roads were super steep in some areas and driving through them makes you see even more, the awesome creation of our Father. This one is on the way to Mt Rushmore and we talked a bit about it.
This one is on our way back to town.
We're parked at the same truck stop we've been at before. We're blessed because they are very welcoming to travelers. (And we're blessed because it's pretty flat too lol :-)
We have some travel to do the next couple days to get to another wicked event that the the worldly churches are putting on. We're looking forward to it because they seem to be fruitful for witnessing so we shall see. (Lord willing that is.) It's always unknown how things will turn out and if we have a place to park for the night but we trust in God to lead the way.
I hope the rest of your day or evening goes well and let us all rejoice together in the risen Savior.
And I leave you with another blessing from the Lord....
Love to you in the Lord,
Sister Deb
