A Day in the Life (August 19,2021)

Good evening sisters:-)

How was your day today?  Thank you for those of you who share your days and your love with the brethren:-)  Every day is a gift from God and I'm thankful He didn't burn me up in my sins but instead offered the hope that lies ahead for those who repent and are new creations in Christ!

I love that verse, thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures.  We can stand strong in the power of His might because we are His (if we are born again through the biblical gospel, test yourself HERE)  and we have the power of the Holy Spirit!!!!  What an awesome gift!

Amen....we shall find rest unto our souls.  What a blessing and gift we can have in such a wicked world that's getting darker.  We don't know what tomorrow brings but we do know that if we get it, it can bring rest for our souls if we abide in Him.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:7-11

We saw this on a truck in front of us...

Wonderful words.  Too bad the world doesn't follow the rest of His word.  But we are all lights shining and pointing the way to it through the gospel, our witness and good works unto Him.

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:15

We saw many beautiful fields of sunflowers on our travels today.  I was able to snap a shot as we flew down the road:-)

While we were traveling we shared a thermos of broth and chunks of bread...and I'm going to use that favorite verse...

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Acts 2:46

It's such a simple concept in a complex world.  We drive all over and see the food places loaded with people all the time and wonder where the simplicity went.  Well, we know satan has complicated it all and removed the thankfulness of simple things and now it has to be all different foods, flavors, flesh satisfying tastes etc.  (Not that it's sinful but it's become idolatry.)  Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed not only for their sexual sins but also...

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Ezekiel 16:49

Brother Jim preaches that on the streets, how America is just like Sodom and filled with bread, idleness and pride.  People hate that but it's true. (Every once in a while we get someone who agrees and sees it.) I love to see our sisters in Christ, sharing their Titus 2 duties and simple meals that they are thankful for.  Oftentimes they, like we do, have a repetitive menu, eating the same things and I love that.  They are satisfied and thankful for whatever the Lord provides!

We were blessed to get to our parking spot and not deal with the storms we saw.

But the lightening was awesome.

Here are a couple travel videos you can see and give God the glory for His creation.

It's time for me to sign off and Lord willing we shall get another day tomorrow to glorify the Lord in our lives.  Hold fast and may the Lord watch over you all.

Check out brother Jim's update HERE.

Godly love to my striving sister saints who obey all of God's word.
