Good evening sister saints who are striving in all truth:-)
"Let them laugh"...we heard those words the other day. We were out witnessing and brother Jim was preaching about the wrath of God and some wiccan looking teens walked by laughing. An older man and woman walked by and said 'Let them laugh' took a gospel card and thanked us.
It made me think about all the ways we saints of God get laughed at. I'll share some that happened in the last several days and then some that fit us godly women.
* Several groups of Anabaptists (Amish and Charity looking) walked by and laughed at the preaching of God's Word.
* A man walked by making the hand mocking signal and laughed.
* A man yelled out calling himself a moron, laughing about it while the Word was being preached.
* A woman sat down behind us while brother Jim as preaching and soon got up, swearing at us and walked off dancing and laughing.
* A woman drove by us on the road, giving us a horrified mocking face because of our signs.
Let them laugh....
* We godly women get laughed at for giving up our life of selfishness to become women of a quiet spirit.
* We sisters get laughed at for biblically dressing and covering our heads.
* We get laughed at for proclaiming the truth of God.
* People laugh at us sisters for not conforming to the world around us.
* The world laughs at us for not budging off the Word of God and holding to it.
Let them laugh....
Should we laugh back at them?
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 5:44
And...
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:17-21
Our Father is watching what they do....He's also watching what we do in return.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world
Philippians 2:15
I think about this passage when they mock and laugh at the saints of God:
And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
2 Kings 2:23-24
I know God sees them and like the destruction in 2 Kings, there will be eternal damnation waiting for them if they don't repent of their worldly ways and wickedness. We must warn them!
God is glorified when His saints stand for His truth and don't waver because it shows His power. We see the religious people claim His name but....
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:5
Most so called Christians don't even have the form of godliness because they look like, act like and talk like the world but they just steal our Saviors name and claim it for their own. There will be a day of reckoning coming and we hope to warn as many as we can.
We shouldn't be surprised because we were warned...
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2 Peter 3:3-4
If we find ourselves having a hard time dealing with the mockery and laughter let us remember that our Master made the way for us...
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
Luke 22:63-65
And we have the greatest example...
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7
I will share something that will give you encouragement though sisters. (I know some of you are younger in the faith and just learning / seeing such things)....
The longer you serve the Lord in full obedience, the more mature you get and it'll come to a point where someone laughs at you and you don't feel it in the flesh, you feel for their soul.
Let's all help one another strive on for the glory of the Lord.
Thank you sister for the scripture pictures:-) Let's read that verse and remember to hold together as sister saints of God, pressing one another on and shining our light unto the world.
What precious words that is...knowing that the Word of God will stand for ever! What comfort, joy and hope we have!
Hold fast my Titus 2, 1 Corinthians 14, 1 Timothy 2, 1 Peter 3, Colossians 3 and Titus 2 sisters (maybe you want to go see what verses I'm referring to:-) Speaking of Titus 2...I thought you all might think this was amusing.
I grew up calling them carts, some of you call them buggies and some call them trolley's. And I think I missed one but I can't remember, maybe someone will remind me:-) Anyway, whatever they're called, they are a great and useful tool aren't they? And glory to God when we can put things in them that we need and be able to purchase them to take care of our homes!!!
Yep, let the world laugh at Titus 2 women who share such simple and thankful things here. Glory to God!
It's August and fall is just around the corner. I'm sure you, like us, marvel at how fast time flies. Are we redeeming it all for the Lord sisters? Or would the world have a reason to laugh at us if they saw what we really did with our time? I'm sure you all know this next passage well...
Ephesians 5:15-17
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
But how many look at verse 17..."Wherefore be ye not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Let's ponder that shall we?
I'm sure this will make you all smile and rejoice! We know of a young sister saint who is diligently learning the truth and seeing through the lies and deception. I wanted to share a couple things with you that she shared. (Yes, we sisters are joyous to share our communication with others so that all may be edified.)
And she shared her notes that she is currently studying. How precious to see a sister digging into the bible and working hard to transform her life to become a godly woman.
Glory to God!!!
Yep, another thing the world would laugh at....let them laugh while we sister saints rejoice!
Another day is almost done here and we look forward to the next one, if the Lord lets us live to see it. If so, we shall, Lord willing, be at a wicked so called 'christian' music festival and maybe there will be some good witnessing there, we shall see.
A short while ago I mentioned that we tried a can of mackerel and really enjoyed it...I was joyous to find some more and stock up a bit as it's hard to find for such a low price. We had a simple meal from it tonight.
Praise God for good foods!
We drove right by our favorite camp spot in Nebraska today...
Maybe there will be another chance to stay there when we have the time, but for now we have other more important things to do like sharing the GOSPEL! at a wicked music event that is slapping the name of Christ on it.
Brother Jim took the time to change the oil on our van home today.
When he was done he witnessed to a bunch of homeless men sitting at a picnic table in the park we were at. You can see his update HERE.
And when he was done, I walked across a few parking lots to the store and was pulling my cart with my gospel sign on it. There are a lot of beggars in the area walking all around and so I must have looked like one as people were slowing down in their cars to take a look at what was on my sign. Anyway, the word went out throughout the day. Praises to our mighty King.
And here's a travel video from the day.
It's time for me to go now, I hope you all have a good evening sisters and keep on those good works!
The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
Ruth 2:12
Much love to my sisters who are enduring in the faith without wavering on any of the teachings in the word of God.

Sister Deb
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:13
