Life Not Death

Good day sister saints,

I hope yours is going well:-)  Once again our plans changed and we are okay with that as it's all in His will and timing.  Brother Jim gave me the idea for this post because of something that happened today.

We were sitting at the stop light and a cute little bunny hopped across the many lane highway to stop under a red car across from us, that was waiting to turn. It was oblivious to the danger it just escaped and what might be coming. The semi truck behind the car honked his horn and the little bunny just sat under the car.  I told brother Jim I wasn't going to watch and looked out the side window.  I peeked a couple times but when the light changed and I saw the red car drive by I looked up and saw the big semi moving slowly honking his horn at the little bunny... and it hopped in front of him and across the road to safety.  Brother Jim, I and the truck driver were all waving and rejoicing that we didn't have to see death.  It made me think of....

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15:7

How the saints rejoice when someone repents and us born into the kingdom!!!!

The world is like that bunny, obliviously living for itself, deceived by satan because of the lust of their flesh, that they can't see or discern the danger that lurks just ahead of them.
Woe to those who are not in Christ, death awaits them...

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels
Matthew 25:41

But there is hope through the gospel (good news) which brings life!  And we saints of God should have a burning desire to share that with our neighbors of whom we are commanded to love, amen?!

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 22:37-40

We rejoice greatly when we meet another saint that has turned from death to life!  Glory to God!

This is a brief version of the gospel, it goes into more detail on our ministry website HERE.
_____________________________________________________

1) Faith... in the finished work of Christ ( was fully man, is fully God ) and His perfect sacrifice for sins ( John 3:16 )

2) Repentance ... turning from your fallen mind and ways to God's Holy ways.  ( Luke 13:3 )

3) Born again... you must be born of God's spirit to ever see eternal life. In this new life, He gives you a new heart and mind to then serve Him. ( John 3 )

4 ) Holiness with obedience.... if your changed by God you WILL, as fruit, strive to leave all sin, worldliness, carnality and false ways ( like man made religion ) and obey His commands and be holy in all your ways. ( 1 Peter 1:15 / Heb 5:9 / Heb 12:14)

5) Endure in your faith.... You MUST keep clinging to Christ via this saving faith to the end of your life, lest you fall away and have believed in vain. ( Matt 10 and 1 Corinthians 15 )

I also want to share that even within the body of Christ we have seen those in danger of death and although we warn them ('honk the horn' like the semi truck did) we see some are oblivious or have turned themselves over to the dark side and walk away.  There's a reason why the New Testament is so strong on love of the brethren and taking care of each other as we don't want to see others fall away. Let's read what it says in 1 Corinthians 11...

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1 Corinthians 11:29-31

'
Being sickly and put to death because of abusing the Lord's supper, is not a good thing and this was inside the body of Christ.  Let that be a warning to us how serious this is AND...

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

1 Peter 4:17-18

The good news for the ungodly and sinner is the gospel...which is what we are commanded to share with them.  How can we have that life saving gift and not proclaim it to all we know?!   (Or at least be willing to and ready when the opportunity arises.)

Yes, women can be called to a ministry of reaching the lost with the gospel and greatly used by God to share it... I'm doing a study on the women from the old testament to the new testament on it and hope to share it soon, Lord willing.   (All within the role of godly women of course.)

Praise God for His truth and being able to share it!!!

Thank you sister for the following scripture pictures with the Word of God, which is life!!!

Amen, let us rejoice in the Lord and glorify His holy name!

It's amazing to think of a nut (almonds) or fruits or vegetables coming from a plant that has a flower that turns into food.  The amazing creation of the Father never ceases to amaze me!

Let's look at Colossians 3 and see the context of that verse...

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. [8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Colossians 3:1-13

We, in the body of Christ, are commanded to work through such things as brothers and sisters, overcoming the flesh to bring unity in the body...

1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Oh, amen sisters!  Let us give thanks in all things because of what He has done!  Glory to God, let us rejoice together!

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11

We are thankful that we were able to get our van in the shop early this morning for a tire rotation (a complimentary service from the company) and we had a nice bench to sit on outside in the cool morning mountain air.

The young  man who worked on it got the gospel:-)  As we were leaving, brother Jim looked out the window and saw something that would have made me very sad if we drove away without it...

I'm so thankful for that big water thermos as I use it all day long (I drink a lot of water).  I'm thankful he saw it:-) We did some jobs today and stopped in a thrift store.  I saw this and had to take a picture to share with you as some day something like that might be just what I'm using on the streets to get around, Lord willing we have those days:-)

It's got handles to use as a walker and a seat to sit on when you need a break. Lol, praise God for such things to help people!  I also found a nice flip top thermos...I'd been waiting a long time to find another one since we forgot brother Jim's out on the street a while ago.  We went back to look for it but it was gone:-(  Anyway, we have a replacement for only $2 !

Brother Jim got me a present...

They were selling them in the gas station so he got me one...

A hard boiled egg, lol:-)  We had a good laugh about them selling individual eggs...and it was a nice addition to a quick snack lunch.

I saw these vans this morning while taking a walk...

This place as a ton of van and car campers as well as many rv's.  Apparently the housing industry has boomed from the weathly coming from the west coast and moving out here...which makes for higher rent prices and less affordable housing.  Anyway....it's a pretty relaxed and welcoming place for travelers so we're thankful.

I also saw this and thought it was cute...

A pretend owl to scare away birds from making nests (and messes) above their doorway:-)

We head down the road tomorrow, sharing life (the gospel) along the way, hoping to spare some from death.  Either way, God is glorified in our lives, sisters, as we all do our good works unto Him.

Praise God for one more day to glorify God and encourage one another on toward life...eternal life that is promised to those who are faithful.

You can see brother Jim's update HERE.

Love to you sister saints,
Sister Deb

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
