Being Ready at all Times

 Good evening sister saints!!!

(Thank you sister for all these awesome scripture pictures!)

I just had a witnessing experience today to share with you on why we always need to be walking in the spirit and ready to give an answer.

Brother Jim asked me to pick up some white boards like this...

...for new gospel signs when we go out on the streets witnessing. I was walking through the store and making a video for a sister when a man walked by with his family and said "Is that my birthday card?" Pointing to the whiteboards.

I caught the encounter on video...

He received it well and went on his way.

We need to be ready to switch our mind quickly from the earthly things we are doing to the spiritual things of God in giving the GOSPEL.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear

1 Peter 3:15

In order to do that....

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

I know that's a well used verse and one that is repeated often but obviously we need to be doing it every day so reminding ourselves often, is a great thing!

And of course we have to walk in the Spirit (Romans 8) otherwise all of this is in vain.

As the picture at the top says or faith stands in the power of God...He will give us what we need to be strong and fulfill the works He has set before us.

Yes we see that the preaching of the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing and many people will reject it but we continue to be faithful.

Let's do a little discernment exercise. Read the scripture on this picture. (I saw the next couple items in a store and took the pictures.)

Now let's see what the scriptures really say...

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:4

Do you see the scriptures are pointing to the Lord (rejoice in the Lord)  and the scripture on the picture is pointing toward man (always be full of joy). Let's look at another one.

And let's see what the scripture is really saying...

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Psalm 9:1

Once again we see the glory of the Lord being stolen and man being lifted up.  I wanted to show you this so that way you could discern such things in your own life. We have to be very careful that we are not using such things which therefore go against the word of God and also mislead people into a self-centered thinking instead of humbling themselves and seeing God as the mighty one.

We are so blessed to be able to do such a mighty work, sharing his precious word with the lost!

Brother Jim snapped this picture of me as I was working on this post.

I call it, sitting in the door of my tent, kinda like Abraham did in Genesis 18:1. But it's not hot out tonight, it cooled off very nicely :-) we are so rich with such blessings.

Tomorrow, Lord willing,  we plan to witness at a football game at a university. That ought to be interesting. And another way I made sure I was ready is to have some of my Titus 2 work done today to prepare for tomorrow.

I thought it would make myself some soup for dinner tomorrow after our day out on the streets.

I'm so thankful for all the Lord provides.

It's all ready to go and being cooled in front of the fan before I put it in the cooler.

I'm planning on making brother Jim pasta for his dinner.

I have to get going as I have other things to do to be ready so I will leave you here and Lord willing we may meet here again tomorrow:-)

(We only had a little drive today but you can see some of it.)

Much love to you sister saints who love the Lord!

Sister Deb
