Let There Be Light

 Greetings to our faithful sister saints who love the Lord!

A sister talked about how she is combating the darkness of Satan with the light of the Lord and so I looked up a scriptures on light to share on a sisters encouragement call. I'll post them here for your edification as well.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Genesis 1:3

We know that light was a physical light for the earth but I love that it was created right away in the beginning and then He sends His Son Jesus as the light, who will be the light in the end.

Let's see some verses about Him being Light.

Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.

Isaiah 50:10

**************

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Isaiah 60:19

**************

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:21

**************

And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Acts 26:14-18

**************

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:4

**************

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

**************

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:15

**************

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:5

**************

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. [23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Revelation 21:22-23

And let's wrap it up with this awesome passage.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22:1-5

Christ came as a light into the world and we should be doing the same, shining our light, (which is of Him) to the world.

What a glorious job we have, carrying that precious life giving light! Don't hide it!

It's the GOSPEL that gives life and we sisters are living proof!!! Glory to God!!!!!

It's why we are out here doing what we do in the world unto the Lord, it's why brothers and sisters are doing what they do all across the world unto the Lord. Let us all rejoice with one another even if afar and only in Spirit!

Last night we were parked for the night, it was late and we were winding down from a busy day.  I was sitting in the door of my tent / van (like Abraham:-) and brother Jim was taking a little walk. All of a sudden I hear a truck pull in and here he is ...

Lol right by our van!  He had to leave because they don't allow truckers in the lot and I felt bad for him cuz he was just looking for a place to rest.  We can relate to that, us being on the road all the time. What a blessing to not only be able to have a nice bed for the night but a good place to park it.  It was actually very quiet last night, and level so we were extra rich in blessings! Don't take anything for granted sisters.  I look back and see I was thankful for much of my life living in a house but now that we live this life, I see where I wasn't, without even realizing it.

We've been dealing with a lot of rain lately which makes van life a challenge but it's good for us all to have constant flesh killing trials as it grows us.  Here's a picture from one of the storms...

Just as we prepare in the physical for storms to come, we must always be prepared ahead of time for the spiritual battles that come.  Ephesians 6 armor is our best defense, amen sisters?

It looks like our rain is done for a while and we have sunshine. Glory to God!

I have to go now but Lord willing, I will be back tomorrow to encourage you on.

Love to you all, in Christ our King,

Sister Deb

(Thank you sister for the scripture pictures.)

O satisfy us early with thy mercy;

that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
