Wondrous Days of Witnessing
Greetings in love to our sister saints!
(Thank you sister for the awesome scriptures you put on the beautiful pictures of our Father's creation!)We made you a video while we were driving, talking about storms cuz we just drove through one today.
And some of God's amazing creation while we drove toward a destination that we plan to witness.
Today was super busy and praise the Lord all to His glory. Ever since I talked to brother Jim about some new ideas on how to open the door to witnessing it's been awesome and the opportunities are coming in all over. I thought I'd share some with you as it might encourage you in your ministry of sharing the GOSPEL.
Yesterday I was in the store and I was looking for opportunities when finally I was about to give up and I text brother Jim and he reminded me to go thank a worker for all they do and give them one. (Yes, I keep forgetting such things until it becomes a regular habit and part of my day:-) I walked around the store several times and finally the perfect opportunity came and I approached a woman worker and thanked her for such a good job they do on the store. (And they do, I wasn't lying.) I also asked her to tell the manger that we travel all over and that this store is one of the nicest kept we've seen. (True) I gave her a gospel card, told her that's why we travel and she was very appreciative. (Before I move on I wanted to share with you that I asked brother Jim what to say if they had a messy store because I don't want to lie to them. He said that I should just thank them for their work in providing us what we need on our travels. Yes, sometimes I don't think of the obvious either sisters so don't feel bad.) Anway...I was rejoicing about that when brother Jim text and said it was raining out so I walked around some more.
I saw a little anabaptist girl on the other side of the store so I made my way over there and caught the mother. I said that I couldn't help but notice her clothing and assumed they were anabaptist. She said they were and I gave her one of our anabaptist gospel cards and said what brother Jim told me to say. I said that he told me to give the card to all the anabaptists I see and tell them that we would love to hear from them, that we travel the country and are always looking for biblical believers and to have her husband or elder contact him so they can talk. (Obviously to see if there can be biblical unity.) She wasn't very receptive until the end and then smiled and said she would.
Today was very fruitful as well, praises to our heavenly Father for allowing me the privilege of handling His precious gift and giving it to others. I went into a gas station and the woman was very helpful and after I was done with my business I gave her a gospel card. She was really happy about it and said she's a believer too. We talked several minutes and I encouraged her to go deeper. She was smiling and thanking me for what we do and I told her I'd love to hear from her and help her in the areas for women.
Then, the young man at the other counter checked out my purchase and I gave him a gospel card and said it was good news. He looked at it and said thank you and looked at it with interest. As we were leaving I could see him standing there reading it.
I stopped in a dollar store for a couple things and the woman asked if I wanted the purchase directly in my basket or if I wanted a bag. I said the basked is good and she was trying to sort them from one another and I said it's okay to just put them together. I mentioned how confusing and complicated the world is, let's keep it simple. She agreed and thanked me. I thanked her with a gospel card and said it was good news.
The store right next to that one had plums on sale so I got some for brother Jim and as I was checking out I noticed the man had a softer almost feminine side to him but he was very polite. I thanked him when we were done, said to have a good day and gave him a gospel card. He looked at me for a few seconds in surprise and said 'Thank you. Thank you so much.'
As I got back to the van and was putting my stuff away a woman walked across the parking lot (we were in the middle of it)...
...and asked if she could take pictures of our van. We said sure and I got out and witnessed to her. She was thankful and we had a brief but nice talk.
Praise God! A sister and I were talking about how in God's timing He molds us and shapes us into who He wants us to be and how we all will minister / witness in our own ways. He is using my (old life) boldness for His good now of which I'm thankful for. He's redeeming something that used to be wicked in me and it's now used for the kingdom of God. Remember that sisters. He turns what's awful into what's awesome for Him. And I'll post this to remind us all what happens when we are faithful and share that precious life saving truth with others.
All the glory to God as we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). That eliminates any glory man can have for loving Him, He still gets it all!
We always remind ourselves that we must endure through this life as it helps keep our focus on why we have to go through such things as storms like we talked about in the video above. Our Father will prune us and mold us like the potter does the clay, you know that from His word:-)
Thank you sister for sending that rose, how beautiful and the love behind it is even more:-)
And I send you all an interesting flower that I've never seen before. How great is our God!
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Psalm 48:1
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him
according to his excellent greatness.
Psalm 150:2
