A Day in the Life (Nov 13, 2021)

 Good evening sister saints:-)

We are blessed to have some heat while we're here, in our utility cabin, and then we retreat to our lil van home for the evening.  We choose not to stay in the house as we want to be ready to go and keep ourselves in flesh killing mode, so this lil cabin with the fire offers us a nice treat. (If we were going to stay here for months on end or in super cold weather we would move into the house perhaps, but anyway....) It's been a blessing to be able to do all sorts of projects and chores around here, in thankfulness to the Lord for it all.

(Thank you sister for sharing that picture.)

Patience and waiting, that's something many people have to work on in this fast paced world and so it sometimes crosses over into our spiritual life such as enduring through this life.  We must patiently fill each day for the Lord and let us be steadfast in our walk, knowing we must continue the race.  Let us all encourage one another to fight the fight and finish the course, pressing one another on, like what brother Paul said:

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. [7] I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: [8] Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:6-8

Some day our time will come, will we be ready?

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  2 Corinthians 5:10

I'm striving for righteousness and the sisters I know are as well, are you?  If you need help and encouragement in the areas for women, let me know:-)

Brother James has been working on putting the deck on the guest cabin....

And I'll be sewing some curtains for it, or modifying some that I have, I hope.

Lord willing I'll be able to share with you what I end up with :-)

I really don't like spiders, they are rather creepy but on the other hand, what an amazing creation!  How can one not see a creator?  I'm glad he was outside but I'm sure if he wants in he'll find a lil crack or something.  Crazy how they can fit through such tiny spaces, as can other creatures.

I always think of this passage in Romans 1 when I look at how awesome the creation is and then see how man lifts himself up and the creation, over God.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Romans 1:18-25

And as we read we see that those turned over to do that which is dishonoring of their bodies between themselves.  Look around here in America (and other countries I'm sure but I can only speak for where I live) and see how the homosexual / sodomite agenda is slowly spreading.  I don't lift that sin up any higher than the sin of someone practicing pagan days like  Christ-mass or exposing their hair in public, but it is a representation of God turning people over which reminds me of this:

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

That's a good reason why we (brother James and I) are very passionate about truth, because many will perish because of their hard hearts and not loving the truth.  Jesus said the Father is looking for those to worship Him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24) and many professed believers we know are not in the truth.  They might think they are but they aren't testing themselves, they're simply going along with what they've always done, or moved in the right direction for a while then stopped testing and examining anything else, or very little.

So many will stand before Him saying "Lord, Lord' and what will He say? "Away from me"...

That's horrible and I don't want that for any of you or anyone else out there which is why we do what we do, all unto the Lord. Be sure to love your neighbor and be ready to show them the way, through the GOSPEL, which leads to eternal life.  Contrary to what most believe, the gospel is much more than faith and repentance, we must be born again and if we don't have fruit (works) as evidence then we don't have God.  And of course we have to continue doing so until the Lord demands our last breath.  Continue on in your good works sister saints, shining your light.

I thought you sisters might appreciate this next picture of a man's clothespin.

Brother James hung out a shop rag and used big metal clips lol.  They certainly would weather much better than wood or plastic:-)  I've seen women look at such things with disgust and cause all sorts of problems between themselves and their husbands instead of seeing the difference between men and women and appreciating how God created them.  Both, when rightfully following the Lord, can be an awesome creation of two becoming one, complimenting the male and female sides.  That can be a hard feat to obtain but we godly women who are married can certainly try our best and by being obedient to the Lord, eliminate some of the problems that arise. (Sometimes the small things are bigger than the big because they keep adding up into mountains.)

There's another children's post HERE if you are interested.  I just do simple posts that parents can use to expound upon with their children and maybe it helps spark a conversation or teaching.  If anything, it's a simple contribution to the families raising children in the ways of the Lord and my love for them, shown through it.

Okay that's about it for me today as I have some things to get done before the night is over.  Oftentimes our nights run into 2 am and like last night 3 am on ministry calls, and so it rather puts our daylight schedule off when the light is coming up earlier and setting much sooner in the evening, leaving us with a lot less light during the day lol.  But it's all good sister saints, we just keep doing what the Lord has before us don't we?  Praise God for it all.

I hope you all rest well and if the Lord wills that you get the next day to serve Him in holiness, truth, obedience, love, mercy, tenderheartedness, purity, kindness, boldness, strength and much more;-)

Hold fast and much love,
Sister Deb
