A Day in the Life (Dec 23, 2021)
Greetings to our holy sisters!
Praise the Lord for all he has done and what He has set before us.
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Romans 6:17-18
We've been set free to serve Him, no longer in the bondage of sin and serving satan.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:34-36
Brother James and I have been pondering and discussing our ministry for the next season and because we are free to serve Christ in many different ways, we may use that freedom to do some things a bit differently. Lord willing, we shall see what lies ahead if He gives us those days. We are just two saints who love the Lord, serving Him no matter where we are or what we're doing.
I want to send some encouragement to you sisters who may be in difficult situations. Some of you live in bigger cities and have to deal with all the sin and noise and ungodliness around you all the time which can be very vexing. But take solace in the fact that the Lord knows your situation and He may very well have you there for the great purpose of shining your light and bringing Him glory within all that. There may be sheep that you don't know are watching and you may be able to help them out of the darkness and into the light. It is also part of denying yourself, losing your life and picking up your cross to follow after Him regardless of the situation. Some of you may be married to an unbeliever who makes your life very difficult. Brother Peter addresses that...
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
1 Peter 3:1-2
And brother Paul does also...
For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
1 Corinthians 7:16-17
God has a purpose for all our lives and He has us where He wants us, doing the works that He has set before us, and that should be encouraging to us :-)One day at a time sister is all we get, let us redeem each of them for Him.
I bought some fabric glue to glue the cover on the last cushion and walked it over the cabin to do it there:-)
...but I ran into a problem...
It's iron on glue :-(. So now I have to wait again until I can get some of the regular stuff. Oh well there's always something else to do and I'm not going to let it bother me. I've grown past a lot of that and learned how to just let things go. Oftentimes we can let things like that bother us and it takes our focus of what we should be focusing on. Let's look at this for an example:
And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Acts 3:8
And this...
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:13-14
Doesn't that bring you great joy?!
Our time here on this earth is limited but our eternity with Him is forever, what a great hope!!!
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:17
My view as I sit in the second cabin overlooking my mistake in buying the wrong glue and instead redeeming the time by doing my post here LOL and rejoicing with my sisters who love the Lord.
Oh and you can see the floor I painted the other day and said I would send you a video :-).
Later in the day I finished the door curtain.
I just had to cut it and then frayed the edges instead of hemming it.
We also did some painting on the old RV that brother James turned into a storage shed.
Lots of works going on and we're thankful to be able to do it all.
We bought this RV many years ago to use it for ministry travel to preach the GOSPEL. There were obviously other plans at play that we didn't know about because we never used it for ministry to travel but we ended up here in Missouri with it and we are traveling:-). It's what we stayed in while we worked on clearing the land for our other tiny house and has been turned into a great place to store things and brother James put a metal roof over it so it should last a long time.
We're thankful to be able to do all this in our simple life serving the Lord. Let's see what tomorrow brings, if we receive it.
There's a new fellowship teaching from brother James HERE.
Love in Christ, to all my obedient sisters who love Him.
Sister Deb
