Greetings sister saints who love the Lord and the brethren!
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:21
That's a pretty big command and we see many other such verses about the same. I'm thankful for those sisters who love the Lord and keep His commands and they too love the brethren. Love is action, not just something in your heart. The world says to follow your heart but the bible says otherwise...
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jeremiah 17:9
And Jesus said this:
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Matthew 15:11
And this...
A sister showed us sisters this super tiny tomato bush that is producing much fruit. (I added the scripture and sent it back to her, borrowing it for here too.) It reminds me of what Jesus said:
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 17:20
And it's a great example (doesn't even nature teach us?) that we don't have to be big and mighty to do great works and produce much fruit.
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Matthew 13:8
And we see that God used the lowly to bring the GOSPEL to the lost. Speaking of which, we stopped at a thrift store to look for a few items (and found some!) and when we were checking out I gave both the women a gospel card and they were very thankful for them. Praise God, we are to love our neighbor and by giving the life saving gospel, we are doing just that!
I took you along on some of the travels today...
It was a very pretty winter day, we were blessed to partake of it and praise the Lord for His magnificent sky with awesome clouds!
Thank you sister for this scripture picture and the next one. What awesome blessings and promises we have if we trust and hope in the Lord. What more could one ask for?
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
John 6:67-69
Yes, He is a merciful God and to those who forsake their sins and follow after our Savior in holiness and obedience, He will grant eternal life. That's the most precious gift every and one that none of us are worthy but we should aim to walk in that way.
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:10-14
I'm thankful to be a daughter of the most High, are you?
Lord willing He will let me (and brother James in the discernment blog, you can find that HERE with daily updates) come and encourage you all. I'm thankful for those of you who love the brethren enough to encourage everyone as well.
Have a joyous evening sister saints.
Love, peace and joy,
Sister Deb
