It's the Message They Hate not the Messenger
Good evening sister saints who love the Lord Jesus!
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:37-40
I made an audio to encourage us sisters to not be discouraged by those who try to silence the truth:
Or you can listen to it (HERE) on the sisters audio page.
Keep sharing the GOSPEL sister saints and don't let anyone stop you. And to clarify, yes Jesus said the world will hate you but in context it's only because of Him and the message of Him that we bring.
We got an email from someone who was trying to defend calvanism, (once saved always saved and that you can never fall away). Brother James was challenging him with scriptures and when the man couldn't answer, he emailed back and said that his keyboard was not allowing Him to type everything.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8
I went through his email and saw that he used every single letter of the alphabet in his email except x and z which was not needed in his message anyway. I told brother James it seems he is lying and trying to get out of facing the truth. The funny thing is, several months ago in the summer, I made us some iced coffees and we were sitting at a picnic table and the wind blew one of them on brother James keyboard (we use inexpensive chromebooks) and ever since then he has had trouble with number 5 and 6 and - and some other issues come and go. (Sometimes I send him a message with a 5 or 6 so he can copy it lol). Brother James finds a way to get the truth across without making excuses like we see people do, when faced with something they don't want to admit. God knows the truth.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
Proverbs 15:3
It was very cold today but the sun was shining and there was a light covering of snow, so we bundled up and took a nice walk.
I'll share some tracks we saw...
And...
Snow (an awesomely beautiful creation)
Cold (fresh and crisp)
Sunshine ( warmth and light)
Health (to walk and see it all)
Eyes (to see it all)
Ears (to hear it all)
Nose (to smell the freshness)
Clothes (to keep warm)
Boots (to walk in and stay warm)
Woodstove (to warm up to when we get back)
(and more)
What blessings we have in all things if we have a right mind to see them all, focusing on being thankful unto the Lord for all things.
The snow makes me think of this:
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Proverbs 31:21
It means that she has taken care of her household and prepared, what a great example, one we would do well to strive for. It may take a while for a godly woman who is new to the faith to press through the trials ahead when learning how to manage a home (if they've never done it before) but one that day after day, will build upon itself and someday she can look back and see the progress she has made and the trail behind her that someone else might be encouraged by.
One of my (Titus 2) duties is to help keep the ash from building up in the woodstove and then I stir them to make sure the coals have died before we dump it in the woods. We want to burn the wood in our stove, not start the forest on fire!
I'd serve you a bowl of my soup that I cooked on the woodstove:-)
I'm thankful for food and raiment and we sisters have so many more blessings to be thankful here on this earth and if we endure we have the greatest blessings of all...eternal life with our Saviour who has gone to prepare a place for us. It's all because of Him, not from us and in our humble daily lives as holy godly women, we strive to press on, bringing Him glory and honor.
Love to you sister saints, unfeigned and true,
Sister Deb
