Encouragement for Christian Sisters

Greetings sisters! I want to share this post (below) with you about the truth of homeless / beggars. Brother Jim wrote of our experiences with them and we want to warn / encourage others. (It is not a theological teaching, it's simply our experiences with them.) ************************************************ The following is an article with audio that gives you our experiences and exposes the many actions of the American beggars. This is only a generalization but 99 % (we have learned) are alcohol / drug addicted or just  scammers  that do NOT want to get off the street at all. They prey on people's emotions but they have no plan to re-enter society and work to support themselves. They are, most times, just  scam artists  so please do not help them further in their sins.  ***Yes, I am aware there are the  rare true homeless  or a  family just turned out into the streets  but I promise you they are VERY hard to find vs all the scammers I will describe below.  

Greetings sisters in Christ, We are thankful for another day and for a bonus, we have sunshine!  All day yesterday during our travels and into last night it was cold and rainy.  In situations like that it reminds you to be thankful for food and raiment and the added blessing of having a van roof over our head with warm blankets.   Praise God for the simple things in life.  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. We were looking at a big pond in town (there are tons of them on the east coast) and talking about how peaceful it makes you feel when you can step away from the business of life and take some time to refresh in nature.  It's calm and peaceful, refreshment to the soul.  I mentioned how awesome it must be in heaven to not have to worry about all the earthly, fleshly battles and to have that peace and brother Jim added that it will be a hundred fold.  I can't fathom an environment like that. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,  But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mark 10:29-30 In the meantime, until we get there, we must strive

Greetings to you Christian sisters all over the world! I pray you are doing well physically and most of all spiritually! Today I want to talk about being flexible in the flesh.  By this I mean, not getting so wrapped up in your flesh, what you like, what you're used to, standards you set etc. that you are not flexible to go with what the Lord might be doing in your life, or just plain old circumstances that change plans. If we are wrapped in the flesh and are upset that things changed, we didn't finish what we wanted to (again!), a schedule was disrupted, projects cancelled or put off, shopping trips not going as planned etc, it will wreck our day and we will lose our peace and joy...in this temporal world.  If we have the mindset on things above...  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2 ...it will eliminate a lot of disappointments and frustrations in our life because we won't be focused on our ideals and goals

We are rejoicing that the area we have been in for the past few days has been filled with many one-on-one witnessing opportunities!  We are thankful because we had plans to be elsewhere instead of here, at this time, and it all worked out perfectly anyway.  Not our will but God's will of course! O  Lord , I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Jeremiah 10:23 This morning we went for a walk and I stopped in at a new grocery store to see what they had for sales.  Brother Jim walked back to get the van and bring it over and on the way had a beggar ask him for some gas money.  Brother Jim told him that we don't give out money but he'd be happy to help him with his car if he really needed it and to meet him across the parking lot over at the gas pump.  Apparently the vehicle was totally empty because he began pushing it over to the pump and when brother Jim saw, he started to go h
