One Anothering and Giving of Yourself

Image
Good evening sisters! We are praising the Lord as we have made it to our destination for the evening! When we got here I cooked up a quick meal in the parking lot and as we were eating we heard squealing tires and a big loud crash! Apparently the red car pulled out in front of the white pickup truck (it's on the left hand side behind that black car).  Brother Jim went over to see if anyone was hurt but the lady in the car was on her phone talking so she wasn't in serious condition although they did take her out on the stretcher, maybe for safety reasons.  There was an elderly lady in the passengers seat but she was out and walking around.  I share this because every time we would reach a destination brother Jim would thank God and praise Him but my mind was already on what I needed to do once we reached wherever we were going.  It wasn't long before I realized I should be thanking God for the safe journey as I thank Him for all other things! It's ...

Bearning One Anothers Burdens and Keeping our Focus

Image
Good afternoon sisters! I bring you this verse: Bear one another's burdens, and  so fulfill  the law of Christ.  (Galatians 6:2) That is what the brethren is to do for one another.  That doesn't mean we can take away the burden from a brother or sister but we can certainly be there to help in any way possible to encourage the one bearing it; to continue on in the strength of the Lord. Just yesterday we saw something that you can learn from in nature in reference to that verse. Check out this video and see. (Sorry it's a bit blurry, but it's 3 families of geese heading over to a big pond in between parking lots.   The little limpy one got so tired that when they were crossing the road to the pond, he sat down in the center of the road and cars were driving by really slow to get around him. Then he finally got up and had the strength to make it to the grass.  It was so sweet watching one of the parent geese hanging out with him w...

Beautiful Birds

Image
Hello sisters! I hope you all enjoy seeing God's creation in His animals, birds, insects etc.  In Wisconsin here, we have some beautiful birds that come every year when we feed them but this year since we're clearing out we haven't been putting out any seed....BUT....I did hear a chirp of an Oriele and put out some grape jelly and an orange and then prayed the Lord would allow me to see him.  And praise God, he kept coming to eat and allowing me to feast on his beauty and give God the glory! Here he is: So then I got all excited and remembered that I had a bunch of awesome pictures of beautiful birds that we've had around here and some from areas close around.  I thought you all might enjoy seeing them.  I'm sure you, from different areas of the U.S. and from other countries, have your own beautiful and unique creatures. I had a really good camera at one time which is what I used to take the following pics. It was amazing that evening w...

Standing Strong in the Strength of the Lord

Image
Greetings sisters!   I drew that picture to encourage you to stand strong in the strength of the Lord through His Word :-) Amen!  I was going about my day, thinking of you sisters and praying that you all are standing strong and decided to do a video, hopefully it's an encouragement to you. Tomorrow we head out of Wisconsin toward Missouri, stopping to encourage a brother in the Lord on his new venture in life and then to our homestead for some carving work.  That's the plan today anyway, we shall see if the Lord wills and we live to do it! For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:15 Praise God for each day, let us rejoice in every one. Have a joyous evening! Putting Away Pagan Practices

Image
Good evening sisters! Tonight we find ourselves in another drizzly, rainy night but that's typical spring weather here!  Brother Jim is working late on the house tonight and I just finished taking care of some long overdue business paperwork.  I get to do some painting tomorrow to follow after what Jim's been repairing; some minor repairs and freshening up is all.   I was only able to get a short time of walking in this evening before the rain started but I snapped this picture and added the verse... Amen! We must keep reminding ourselves of what has been done for us and what's ahead because it's easy to get swept away in the normal activities of life and be pulled away from the peace and joy that we can have even in the midst of trials. I wanted to share a story wtih you... Back, many years ago as we were babes in Christ we were walking alone with nobody to help guide us along in our walk so sometimes things took longer for us to see and know in the Wo...

Proverbs 26:11 A Dog Returns to His Vomit

Greetings sisters! I'm going to keep this short as not to belabor a mistake I made but you can check it out on the video. Hopefully my confession will encourage you sisters to keep your lives simple as well :-) Love in Christ to you all,  Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

A Pound of Flesh

Image
Good morning Sisters! (Edited to add: This post has caused much controversy since being brought up by someone in a forum on the internet.  My words have been twisted and true discernment has not been used on our websites to 'clearly' see what we teach is from God's word.')  Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:  Yet I will rejoice in the  Lord , I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18 Israel went through some trying times (because of their sins of course) yet those who were truly of God within them, held on and praised Him.  Let us do the same! You might wonder what my title means by 'a pound of flesh'.  Some of you from other countries or those of you who are younger, might not have heard that expression....it means that someone got a...
