Exhort One Another Daily
Greetings sisters in Christ!
We are rejoicing as our day was well spent in the Lord, witnessing, encouraging others and praising Him. I pray yours was resourceful as well, pleasing unto the Father!?
I will, like our Apostle Paul did, boast in Christ and thank Him for His work He does when we do ours. We take Hebrews 3:13 seriously and strive to exhort the brethren daily (if we can) on our blogs regardless if we hear from anyone or not. We send out our love into cyberspace, shining the light of Christ and we pray that if it helps even just one saint, we rejoice as our labors are all in the Lord, not of us!
We recently received communication from a woman claiming she's striving to obey Christ, I will call her sister D. She said she's encouraged by our work in the Lord, wanted to let us know that and asked if we would pray for her son. She said that just knowing other true saints are praying is encouragement so I ask you sisters to continue praying for all. It wasn't long ago that I in a discussion with a sister and we talked about praying for our children that are not obedient to Christ. We talked about how we can certainly pray for them but we must be careful that it doesn't become a stumbling block and either lead us backwards or hold us from moving forward. I know from my past that when I used to pray for our children that it would start out well and end in sadness and darkness looming over me knowing the eternal fate of them if they didn't repent. Over time, as I matured, I learned how to pray for them AND other people's children so as not to practice partiality. Easier said than done, but we can do all things through Christ can't we? (Philippians 4:13) We talked about having to give them to God and TRUST that His will be done, no matter what the outcome...it will be righteous and just, and we have to move on in Christ in our own walk.
Isn't it comforting to know there are sisters all over praying for one another, even if we don't have a clue who they are, we know they are there. We are all over, doing the work of the Lord, being keepers at home, shining the light of Christ to all who are in our lives, being obedient to the Word, which shows our love to Him and pressing on, without wavering (or at least trying hard not to.)
I'm thankful for the opportunity to encourage you all as to me it's my form of fellowship to you. I was just recently telling brother Jim, I pray that this simple blog will help ease your loneliness, give you strength, bring a smile to your countenance, see love from it, maybe learn something (as I learn while doing it) and it gives glory to God.
I'm not a great speaker or writer, I don't have much to offer but I give what I have, like the widows mite (Mark 12). I'll give you my last breath if it meant it would press you on just one more day ahead and keep you from falling back. (I just wrote a post praising sisters who are consistently diligent in their work and encouragement of others, you can read it HERE.)
Peace and blessings,
Sister Deb

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:8-14
May God be praised in His creation!

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
