Just Another Day
Greetings sisters in Christ,
I pray you are all doing well today! We are doing well, standing strong and pushing on in the strength of the Lord!
I wanted to share with you a couple pictures...
...and skirt that a sister in the Lord sewed for me. You can read the post I did about them HERE. She does great work:-) We were back at the homestead for the day to do some reorganizing and then hit the road again. The past couple nights it was raining...
...which makes it difficult in the vanlife but we get along, joyously serving the Lord. We were thankful though, as the rain left and we were blessed with some sunshine and a beautiful sunset.
The same sunset a few minutes apart...
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. [18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:16-18
Our Fathers amazing creation:-)
Just last night we pulled into the truck stop where we were parking for the night and saw this construction all set up.
It's one of those sights that when you live in a van, you look at it for a while and think about how that's going to impact you early in the morning:-)
And it did:-) The jackhammer was going early as was the back up beeper of the equipment, but we rejoiced for a place to park.
We at least, have a place to lay our heads and call home while here on the earth, our Savior didn't.
And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes,
and the birds of the air have nests;
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Matthew 8:20
I had a lot of emotional flesh to kill today while on the homestead for the day, even while I was working my mind was trying to look behind while my spirit was holding fast to the plow and going forward. For some reason, while we are on the road it's easier to leave all that behind but when we stop, for just a bit, it catches up on us. That's how it is isn't it sisters? When you stop striving, you can easily look back (not necessarily to go back) but the memories and thoughts are like the first part that will make you take a U-turn. We must not do that and it goes right along with the finding an emotional balance. I find, in our ministry, that I have to do that MANY times each day with people contacting us and all the issues that go on. But that's all our reasonable service to the Lord who offers us that great hope.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, [12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [15] These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2 11:15
An old order Mennonite told brother Jim the other day that we should preach the gospel and then use words if you have to. Meaning they think the world will know all about Jesus and the gospel just by looking at them. That's foolish and brother Jim wrote an article to refute that:

I don't know what tomorrow brings but I know I can trust in the Lord to guide our path. Have a joyous evening sisters, may God be praised!
Love to you all,
Sister Deb
