A Day in the Life (March 22, 2021) with videos

Greetings in love, to our obedient sisters who are following after our Lord and Savior!

I'm thankful for a lovely spring day and the opportunity to reach out and let you all know that I'm thinking about you, praying that you stay strong and that you are looking to our Savior for your strength, not this wicked world.  You probably know about 'cancel culture' which is actually just another one of satan's ways of eventually coming after us true ekklesia, called out ones for Christ.  But we can't focus on such things as we are commanded to focus on what?  (This is awesome, I was working on this post and as I was doing so, brother Jim was making an audio teaching about 'cancel culture'.  The Father's perfect timing! You can listen to it HERE.)

.....and ....

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:13-14)

Zealous of good works. I posted about the good works of women HERE if you want to see it. And our good works in obedience to our Father, is a glory to Him.  Let us give Him praise and honor!

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord : And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. [6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

Godly women should be teaching their children good works also. I was walking through the store and to avoid a crowded aisle, I went through the toy section and saw these good and pure toys.

How refreshing to see such learning toys that don't teach idleness.  I'm in the store every day getting water and any supplies we might need and I see a lot of children with their faces focused on a phone while watching worldly videos or playing video games.  I remember when a stick a string and a rock was considered toys of which we had to think about what to do with them. Anyway, you  mothers do your best to keep your children from being tantalized by the world and keep them in the Word.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. (Deuteronomy 11:19)

If you're like me, you don't get tired of looking at seeds and pondering the great works of our Father who created all things.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (John 12:24-25)

Amen, we need to die to self before we can be born from above and then we become a new creation, growing in the grace of God in obedience and maturity.  Like a seed grows the plant which produces food, we too grow and produce fruit!

Speaking of food, here's a simple meal for my Titus 2 sisters.

Sweet potato, regular potato, shredded cabbage, chopped onion, and some ground turkey.

Add some seasonings, your choice of oil, cover and cook.

And it would go good with bread...

That sign is on the bottom of a bread bin where you pick out the individual buns or rolls you want.  We see much about bread in God's word, seemingly a staple of food for back then and we see it yet today.  But we all know what is more important amen?  The bread of life.  God provided manna (physical bread) and spiritual bread through His son.

Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. [34] Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:31-35)

And this also...

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. (Luke 22:1)

Jesus gave Himself for us, let us not trample the blood He shed. (I wrote a post about that HERE. and brother Jim has several articles HERE.)

The other day we saw this sign...

And I made a video for you as we traveled.

We treated ourselves to a box of these gingerbread cookies for $1 from the discount store.

And we found some more healthy foods like soup, cabbage, meats and some organic hand soap.  We do our best to be frugal with the resources the Lord has given us as it is not ours but His.   As I was working on this post, sitting outside, I sent this picture to a sister and she returned it with the scripture verses.

And another one...

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it ? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. (Luke 15:8-10)

Brother Jim witnessed to a trucker who liked our van. It certainly is a door opener between us being full time vandwellers and having our gospel signs all over it.  Brother Jim said it might be time for some new ones so we might order them when we stop back at the land in Missouri on our way north.

As we were pulling into a town we saw beggars on most of the busy corners and then saw this.

They put a cement block there so they can sit on it. This morning in a different town we saw a woman walk to the corner, sit for half hour, get some money then walk off and leave.  I would think if they were truly hurting they would be out there all day long every day so they could save up their money to get themselves off the streets but we know better as we talk to them and give them the GOSPEL, as we did today.  Anyway....

One more video for you.  I would share our snack with all the saints worldwide if they were here!

So that's just one day in our life out here as godly saints striving in the things of God and I hope you enjoyed coming a long with us, in the best way I could share it.  Feel free to share your life also, as it's encouraging to know others are living on this wicked earth, pressing through on a daily basis, doing what the Lord created us for and keeping ourselves unspotted and blameless...

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; (Philippians 2:15)

I leave you with this...

Until we meet here again sisters, be bold on the word and strong in His strength!
