No Fancy Fare or Wear

Good evening sisters in Christ! And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Acts 2:46 I love verse how they ate with gladness and singleness of heart. Singleness is like simplicity.  I'm sure their meals weren't fancy like the kings or what we see today in the average household.  No, I'm not here to bash the way anyone cooks, you can cook however you like and do it heartily as unto the Lord :-)  I just share our simple life to encourage others that do so, you're not strange or alone.  In a world where there's food on every corner (here in America anyway), plastered all over the highways on billboards, all over the internet etc, I want to be a refreshing light of simplicity in all ways, even food.   This is a big deal because sisters have to cook for their family and it can consume a lot of time.  Although it is a very enjoyable task (one that I really li

Grabbing Garbage and Picking Produce

Greetings sisters in Christ! Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the  Lord  thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 This verse goes along with the post I just did with our Married and in the Word video about trusting in God.  You can see that here:  https://titus24sisters.blogspot.com/2020/01/trust-in-lord.html I have a hodgepodge of various pictures and random stuff to share so I'll just load them all in here :-) Each morning and evening we take a walk and while doing so, we gather up the carts in the lot and put them in the cart corral.  It adds a dimension to our walk and it keeps the lot clean as a thank you for letting us stay there overnight. One day brother Jim said he'd like one of those garbage grabbers so we could pick up trash, so we got one... It's a satisfying job and makers our walks are very interesting! Speaking of interesting, brother Jim spott

A Woman's Worst Nightmare...Trusting in God's Sovereignty

Greetings to our obedient sisters in the Lord! By the time I post this, the event will have been put further behind me but the lesson will be everlasting.  As you surely know, we are thankful for the outcome of the lessons we learn in trials but we don't care for the burning fire that we have to pass through.  As we mature we learn to weather it easier each time, for the most part. We arrived in this town that neither brother Jim nor I were looking forward to but we felt it was where we should be based on how everything seemed to line up.  I don't want to share the details of how wickedly evil the people in this place are and the nudity law they just passed makes me want to vomit. Don't even ask as it's too profane to even speak of. (No, they weren't doing it while we were out.)   Anyway, as we were in the midst of this wicked vileness on the streets, there were some sheep and it encouraged us.  We also went to a religious place and it was almost as horrid and

A Day in the Life (Feb 25, 2021)

Good day to my sisters in the Lord! How are you doing today?  Praise God for this day as we may not get another one and let us do all things unto our Father in heaven.   I love this.... Matthew 2:10  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. The Lord has washed away my hopelessness and despair and replaced it with 'EXCEEDING GREAT JOY!!!'  Glory to God!   We've had a lot going on to the past several days I'm just going to post some things and rejoice for all the Lord has done. Brother Jim helped a man with his truck, trying to get it fixed but he ended up needing to be towed. Praise God, people got the gospel and the word goes out.  Luke 12:3  Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. While brother Jim was helping the man, a couple cars stopped, one behind and one ahead of them and it looked like something being set up.  O
