Encouragement for Christian Sisters

Greetings sisters! I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the  Lord , which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The  Lord  is thy keeper: the  Lord  is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The  Lord  shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.   The  Lord  shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.  (Psalm 121) The Psalms are so comforting and strengthening, amen?  We all need that every day, remembering that our Father in heaven watches everything.  Just the other night we were blessed with a quick video chat with 3 of our grandchildren and the youngest (4yrs) said God made everything.  I told her that's right and God even knows the numbers of hairs on your head.

Greetings sisters, Brother Jim and I really appreciate that verse because it shows how we have to be of one mind in the scriptures.  He's always telling men that there is one God, one bible and there is one body of Christ, there's no reason we cannot be of one mind....if everyone claiming Christ was to rightly divide God's Word and then obey. Sadly we see very little of that but we still rejoice because the Lord is our hope, not man. Set your mind on things above sisters (Colossians 3:2) and put your hope in the Lord. Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray your day is strong in the Lord. Wait on the  Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the  Lord .  (Psalm 27:14) This is just a quick post of my Kombucha recipe I used when we were set up on the homestead.  I did several gallon jars at a time, alternating the start date so that there was always some ready. Kombucha 1 large gallon size container (glass or ceramic) 1 cup white sugar 4 tea bags (4 black or 3 black 1 green) Water Kombucha scoby 1/2 cup (roughly) Kombucha liquid  (I used organic tea bags) I prefer glass gallon jars but have in the past used pyrex dishes that are not see through. (For some reason the clear glass pyrex never worked for me.) Put the sugar and tea into container.  Boil a couple cups of water and pour over sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.  Add the tea bags and gently stir until they are saturated.  Let sit until tea has seeped.   (1 hour?)  Squeeze the tea

Greetings sisters! I hope you have done better in this area than I have. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;    That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.    For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?    And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?    Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:43-48) I confess, I have struggled in this area. I'm no better than anyone, nor do I think so but there are times I either forget or resist praying for our enemies who do wicked things to us. 

Greetings sisters, Commit thy works unto the  Lord , and thy thoughts shall be established. (Proverbs 16:2) Let all our works be done with a transformed, pure heart for the Lord.  Our works won't get us into heaven, they are fruit of a transformed life, one that truly loves the Lord is obedient. I thought it might be encouraging to share how the gospel went out the past few days.  I don't do this to boast, I do it so you can be a part of it in a small way, praying for those who have been affected, that they repent and come to the truth. The other night we were taking our evening walk and while going through the produce section a woman came up behind me and asked about my headcovering.  I explained that we don't belong to a group and that we simply follow the Word of God as believers and headcovering is biblical, of which she agreed.  (She didn't look like a Christian woman who follows the word obediently.)  We encouraged her to read the gospel tract I gave her

Greetings to my sisters in Christ, Are you standing strong in the Lord today? He has given us what we need if only we run to Him.  Ephesians 6 armor is for all of us, to protect us in this time of evil. Today I want to talk about false teachers, wolves in sheep's clothing and protecting yourself from them.  There's no doubt that there are false teachers all over as our savior said it would be in the end times, which we are drawing near.   For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24) I don't want any of you deceived so I'm reaching out to encourage you to examine yourself to see if you are allowing false teaching into your life. False teaching does not come just in the form of a man, there are many women wolves deceiving massive amounts of people.  I've mentioned many, many times to get off youtube, facebook or anywher
