A Beautiful Parking Spot

Image
Good day sisters in Christ, I pray you are all doing well.  Today I just wanted to share you the blessing we had of a beautiful parking spot.   These are all along the perameter of the parking lot and there are islands all around with trees, bushes and flowers... The pictures never capture God's beautiful creation but it gives you an idea.  It was so lovely to pull in and have them all around, making for a peaceful place in the middle of a super busy lot.  We rejoiced because we found a spot along the outside so we could open our doors and have a bit of privacy.  Praise the Lord, let us be THANKFUL in all things, amen?!  And I thought you might enjoy seeing some of God's beautiful mountains in Montana. (We have since left there and are in a different state, heading into yet another one soon.)  I hope your day is victorious in the Lord, stand strong sisters. Love in Christ to all the saints worldwide, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... h

Camper Van Updates

Greetings sisters!   Let us rejoice in the Lord for He is Good.    For the  Lord  is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:5 That's the goodness we want to get out and share with the world and... to warn them of what's to come if they do not surrender to Him. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 We are so close to being done and I thought I'd show you what's been going on with the van, as promised:-)  The cost to doing all this was

Generator Box for Van Dwelling

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! Today I want to share a post with you from brother Jim and how he did our generator box for the van.   I hope you enjoy it :-) ****************************************************              This page will point you to a biblical van dwelling life via the gospel to eternal life:  https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html    Here is a link of our daily van dwelling posts:  https://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2019/12/van-dwellers-preaching-christ-2020.html Generator Box Tip #25 As we traveled to preach, we had this on our van to house our generator and battery.  It was good but I wanted something different and with more space for storage.  So I started with a simple cargo rack $50.......... I added a plywood deck                               I framed in walls with wood.                   I added painted aluminum metal for the sides and top. Finally, I added tail lights, do

Blanket Walls for Insulating the Van

Image
Good evening sisters, I pray you are all fighting the good fight: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 We are also fighting our way through the various projects on our list!  Brother Jim is going to finish the generator box soon and I'll post that in a few days. I finished the blanket walls for the sides of the van. Yay! We tossed around the idea of putting up insulation and paneling but after experimenting in the cold weather while we were on the road, we noticed that blankets (even haphazardly put up) did a pretty good job.  Since the van walls are metal I was able to find heavy duty magnets with hooks to hang the blankets from.  (I used 2 fleece blankets on each wall for extra insulation.)  I then randomly attached the blankets to the walls with more magnets yet leaving air gaps between.   Edited to add: I sewed some magnets in between the

Greetings sisters in Christ! We have been super busy, how about you?  I have to get our tax info finished tomorrow and then I'm hoping to have time to get back online and encourage you here. In the meantime I thought I'd post a link to some van dwelling info that we have on our discernment blog.  http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/p/van-dwelling-tips.html Under that link are many links to other articles offering advice and encouragement to those who might be interested in the van life. I'm planning on doing some for  Titus 2 'keeper of the van' about things that I do and use, but that will come at some time in the future.  Right now (for a while) we are in the middle of setting ourselves free from one last tie and then will be off on the road again.  While we're here I'll be sewing some wall coverings for the sides of the van for insulation, brother Jim will be constructing a new generator box for the back and who knows what else we'll t

Simple Solutions - Van Dweller Window Coverings

Greetings sisters in Christ, We are thankful for another day and for a bonus, we have sunshine!  All day yesterday during our travels and into last night it was cold and rainy.  In situations like that it reminds you to be thankful for food and raiment and the added blessing of having a van roof over our head with warm blankets.   Praise God for the simple things in life.  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:8-9 Speaking of simple things, I wanted to share how brother Jim used his creativity to solve a problem we had with our van.  When we decided to downsize into our cargo van and started costing out how to convert it, we looked at RV windo

Letting It All Go For Christ...Dropping our Nets and Following Him.

Image
Greetings dear sisters! We have just made a life changing decision. A few years ago brother Jim and I were talking about what he would do if I died and he said he would just sell everything and go on the road.  I asked him why we didn't do that now?  That question was in our minds for the past few years until the other day, when the time was right, for us to do it.   And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.    And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. (Matthew 4:20) They were men making their money by fishing but they dropped their nets and followed Christ.  We have chosen to do the same by dropping our carving business, selling our little winter place in Missouri, everything else we own and serving Christ on the road 100% of the time, living in our cargo van. We are self funded in different ways (no we don't take donations, we refuse them) and because we live so simple and frugal, having no debt, we can live off v

Saying Goodbye and Going Forward

Hello sisters! I pray you are all standing strong in the Lord and being a living witness for the world in your obedience.  I rejoice as a sister wrote in claiming miraculous works in her husband.  She is striving to be a quiet, shamefaced, obedient wife and is saying that the Lord is working hard in her husband who is coming out of the world.  Let us rejoice at the victories in the saints!  Amen! I'll update on what's been going on before I share about saying goodbye... We are traveling for a while before we head to Missouri to do some carving work, a few trips around local areas and then out west to Wyoming we go....after that I'm not sure where we will go.  We really like to get out west in the summer because there are soooooo many tourists out that way along the highways and we get many opportunities to witness!  My personal favorite witnessing is with the downtrodden, unique, and rather black sheep of the world.  Those who have never felt like they fit in, are on
