Sinful Stones (Georgia Guidestones)

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray that you equipped yourself this morning to persevere through this day!  Our Father is ALL! And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:28 As we travel, we take time every couple days to look at the map and figure out where we will be going.  Brother Jim gives me a general idea and lets me go to it, mapping it out and seeing where we can park overnight.  I've learned to take my time and be open to the leading of the Spirit.  I don't feel anything and there's nothing supernatural but what I do is pray that God guide us where we need to go, I research stops and then think about it another day or so, looking at the map to eventually making a decision with brother Jim.  Just the other day I was struggling, trying to find a route that would allow us to have places to park overnight and it kept turning up into

Speaking Life

Greetings sisters! Praise God for the word of truth going out!  Brother Jim and I just made a 'Married and in the Word' video and I wanted to share it here because it is a witnessing opportunity we had the other night.   It was very encouraging to us to hear such a young man so passionate for the Lord. He sees much truth and we pray he presses through.  Brother Jim is always telling people that some of the hardest times are in the beginning of our walk...losing friends / family, getting our lives and houses in obedience, maybe losing or changing jobs etc and after that, through time and maturity, 'most' of the upcoming trials are not as difficult.  There will be those mountainous trials that come into our life but by then we've already conquered so many that we have already gained strength to go through them.   There have been so many awesome witnessing opportunities that I don't list them all, just key ones or those I have time to write about.

Loaves and Fish and the Miracle of Sustaining Us

Greetings sisters! We have made it to our current destination for the night and are thankful as we've had some very eventful days.  I'm always going about my keeper at home duties even in our little, rolling down the highway home and just yesterday brother Jim stepped into my Titus 2 territory and found us a great deal! :-)  We were walking through the store and he spotted a big piece of fresh salmon marked down to an awesome deal. I had just told him the day before that it would be great to find an affordable piece as it would be something healthy to add to our diet, not to mention a big treat for us. We were pretty excited so I fried it up... Normally, in cooler weather, I just cook in the van but since it was nice out and I didn't really want the fish smell in the van, I set up outside in a private part of the parking lot.  Here's the shot of our temporary back yard... It doesn't look like much but it's priceless to us to have a bit of privac

Work of the Lord and Vain Works

Good afternoon sisters! I'm sure you all have seen the awesome power of God through prayer.  Sometimes He answers in the way we are asking for, sometimes in other ways of which we didn't expect and might make us uncomfortable, but He knows best.  We must always pray for His will be done, not ours.  Today I want to share a quick story about how He answered a prayer this morning a couple hours later. Every couple weeks I go through my house (the van) and re-organize everything from the sides of the bed, underneath and on the shelves. I do this because I have a couple feet of space on the sides and head of the bed to store the discount goods we find and I want to make sure we are using those in a rotation basis and then I restock the shelves with it.   This morning I was going through everything and found a small pile of stuff that we no longer need and I prayed that God would quickly find us a homeless or needy person to give it to.  I had it bagged up and sitting under our

Worn Down but Not Worn Out

Image
Greetings sisters! Brother Jim and I were taking our walk this morning and we always find pennies and other change in the parking lot and it was no different this morning...we happened to find this one and brother Jim said it would make for a thoughtful post.  It's worn down but not worn out because it still has it's value.   I'm sure many of you can relate to that :-) We can get worn down in many ways both spiritually and physically but we must remember that the love of our Father has not diminished for us.   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things

Hope and Setting the Captives Free

Greetings sisters! I just wanted to share an audio that brother Jim and I did called 'Hope and Setting the Captives Free', from our Married and in the Word series.  We talk about 2 witnessing experiences and what we thought of them. Be blessed. Love in Christ, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

Strength to Stand, God Gives us What We Need

Greetings sisters in Christ, I pray this day you are continuing on in the faith, standing boldly on His truth and not wavering to this wicked world!  I'm praying for you to march on sisters. We have ventured to a place that needed a specific witnessing, a 'calling out' and a hope for repentance from those within.  I'll share what we encountered on the way.  We were pleasantly surprised with the scenery that we saw along the way, beautiful mountains up ahead. What beautiful creation our Father has made! Bless the  Lord , O my soul. O  Lord  my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should n

You Never Know Who

Greetings sisters! I want to share some encouragement with you!  I forgot about this story until I was going through my random notes and saw my reminder.   We were in a store needing a bit of help on something and a worker went to get the man who could help us.  As he walked up to us, his demeanor was one that showed he didn't want anything to do with us.  He was standoffish, staring and not very quick to answer any questions.  He had a very effeminate way about him in his mannerisms, speech, attitude, dress and makeup.  When we were done, brother Jim handed him a gospel card and this man broke out in the biggest smile, thanked brother Jim profusely and said he was going to check it out.  He said 'God bless you'.  He then turned to another customer who was waiting. Brother Jim and I walked away smiling in wonder, thinking that was a very unusual meeting, but one that seemed to be just what needed to happen.  We hope he gets into God's word and allows the Spiri

Good evening sisters! Today brings us a rainy, chilly day but glorious in the Lord.  We rejoice to serve Him and I hope you do as well. The other day we were working online and I went out to the van to do something.  As I came back in I saw a little boy about 3 or 4 years old sitting on his seat by his parents,  quietly eating his sandwich.  He spun around in his chair to wave Hi to me as I sat down by brother Jim. I smiled and waved back at him.   Just as I was about to comment on how well behaved he was, brother Jim said this: "You should have seen that little boy when they first walked in here.  He was running around pushing chairs, making a lot of noise and not listening to his parents.  The father took his arm, walked him into the bathroom and I heard some crying.  He walked out with his dad and sat quietly on his chair, behaving his parents." That little boy did very well the whole time they were there until they were getting ready to leave, he misbehaved

Walkers and Witnessing

Good Day Sisters! Praise God, He uses us no matter where we are, if we are ready. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear 1 Peter 3:15 The other day we had just finished standing on the street with our signs and after I got brother Jim settled in with a cup of coffee, I went to use the ladies room.  As I was drying my hands a very elderly lady using a walker (at the pace of a turtle) came out of the other stall.  Behind her was a woman who looked to be her daughter about my age who was in there helping her.  I decided to take my time drying my hands, smiling at the older lady who was smiling at me.  I could tell she couldn't see well because her eyes had a cloudiness and she proved it by pushing her walker right into the wall.  The woman behind her just allowed her to fix it and go on forward again.  I asked her how she was doing and she said
