Every Cent Counts

Image
Greetings to my Titus 2 Sisters! What a joy it is to be a godly woman with the awesome blessing of running a home.  Our homes and how we take care of them may be different but we all have the command to do it, so let us all do it with diligence and joy! I want to share a little story to encourage you in the area of money and how every cent counts.  Brother Jim and I were taking our morning walk through the deserted parking lot (the store was closed for the world's pagan Christ-mass day) and while we were walking we kept finding pennies.  We were enjoying looking for them when we found quarters and dimes as well.  By the time we were done, this is what we had.... We were laughing because that's enough to buy a loaf of bread with left over to buy a couple bananas. People don't realize that the small change ($$) matters and adds up substantially over time and we are very conscious about this because we live on the road and in order to do that (self funded), we have

Hearing... Both Blessing and Burden

Good evening sisters in Christ! We are thankful that the pagan season will soon come to an end as Christ-mass rounds the corner and disappears into the next year.  It's a fight in the flesh to deal with the hypocritical 'professed Christians' who say they love Christ yet practice (even after being shown in scripture) such a pagan tradition  that is build on lies and sin.   Keep standing for truth sisters and don't waver because those in your life (who may some day be stirred by the Spirit) will see your steadfast commitment over the years. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 I've been blessed (most of my life) with excellent hearing and maybe that came from being virtually blind as a child.  (I could hardly see my hand in front of my face.)  I used to take off my (super thick) glasses, sit and listen to all th

Watching Every Word

Good afternoon sisters! We are thankful for some sunshine today after many days of scattered rain, which can be a bit restrictive in the van life.  I thought I'd share another audio/video of our new 'Married and in the Word' where brother Jim and I talk about watching every word. The world was created by the Word of God, the Word was God and came in the flesh (John 1), this shows how important words are.  Let ours bring life, not death.   Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29 Our Father in Heaven sees and hears all...   For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.  Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. Luke 12:2-3 Love in Christ, Sister

An Even Place

Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray that every day you are drawing closer to the Lord and not away into the world and your flesh.  Every day is a battle of the flesh over the Spirit and if we continue in His Word in obedience, we will be victorious! 1Judge me, O  Lord ; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the  Lord ; therefore I shall not slide. 2  Examine me, O  Lord , and prove me; try my reins and my heart. 3  For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. 4  I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. 5  I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. 6  I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O  Lord : 7  That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. 8  Lord , I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. 9  Gather not my soul with sinners, n

Homeschool Encouragement

Image
Greetings sisters! I just wanted to send a simple encouragement to you homeschooling mothers.  We praise your dedication to raise your children in the admonition of the Lord and we know it takes a lot of time, patience and perseverance to do so. We understand that there are different laws and regulations based on where you are located but we encourage you to make the best choice possible. I'm not here to tell you how to do it, what to teach (other than using a biblical base of course) or where to get your resources, I'm here to encourage you to do the best you can based on the options available. We know of some states (here in the US) that require a regulated curriculum, overseen by a school board and Christian parents simply teach through it, using a biblical basis. For example: If the curriculum teaches evolution, they teach their children that this is what the world claims but creationism is the truth.  In this way, they learn how to see through the lies of the w

Busy Doing Nothing (Idle Tattlers)

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! I hope your day is going well?  Just recently brother Jim asked an elderly man how he was doing and the man said "Do you mean it?"  He then went on to talk about how people just casually ask that question but don't really mean anything behind it.  Brother Jim assured him that he asked because he does care, which led to the proclamation of the gospel from brother Jim to this elderly man.   It made me think of 1 Timothy 5 and the idle, tattling, busybody young widows who were busy doing nothing constructive.   9  Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man. 10  Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. 11  But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will m

Those Who See Will Come

Greetings sisters! Once again we are given a day to glorify God. I the  Lord  have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;  To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the  Lord : that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.    Sing unto the  Lord  a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Isaiah 42:6-10 Once again I have a video of birds:-)  They hang out in the trees above the parking lot and clean up any food that hits the ground.  Yesterday brother Jim tossed out an old banana and in less than 10 seconds they were all
