Encouragement for Christian Sisters

A heartfelt greeting to you sisters! Praise the Lord for this day!  We were blessed with a couple hours of sun this morning to help warm up the van and as I type this, the clouds are settling in to drop the temps to the teens tonight.  We are warm and comfortable right now as we have a place to rest for a while. (I'll share about that later on.)  A sister and I were sharing this verse and talking about how God gives us times of rest. And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.  And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.  Mark 6:31:32 I thought it would be a good topic to expound upon for us all, myself included. A place or time of rest can be different for us all, based on our situations.  In the case of Mark 6, they departed from all the people to go into the desert and we see Jesus getting away from everyone in the wilderness / moun

Praise the Lord for another day Sisters! How are you faring against the wickedness of the evil one?   Are you setting your mind on Christ and what is set before us in eternal life or are you allowing yourself to be distracted by the world?   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:1-2 Being distracted could very well go along with being in sin you know.  Revelation 22:14-15 say that if you love and practice a lie then you will be left outside the gates of heaven.   Today we were standing out on a busy intersection where (we didn't fit in) the cars were lined up at a stop sign, holding gospel signs. Peace and blessings to you sisters! What a day we had, how was yours?!  When we woke up today we were a bit disheartened as the wind was whipping pretty strong. Wind and gospel signs don't mix well:-(  But praise God the wind died down and we were able to go shed some truth in the world at a pagan gathering for Christ-Mass. Grace and peace to you all, I hope your day went well (or goes well) in the Lord and is prosperous.  I made a quick video for you as we were traveling if you want to see it HERE . We worked our way through Tenessee into Georgia where we'll be in this town for the next (many) days.  We both are looking forward to this time here but we're not sure why, it just seems right so we'll see what the Lord might have for us.  This morning as I went into the store to grab something before we set off down the road and a man drove up to brother Jim to talk, you can hear it HERE .  (It's a classic one of someone doing something for God but when the truth comes to them, they get mad and leave.)  Then we set off on our journey... I've shared some of these highway signs and never saw one like this before.  In case it's blurry for you it says 'Real Christians forgive like Jesus'  The group that runs it is a total unbiblical anabaptist group that tear godly marriages apart

To our sisters in Christ, I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 1:4 I mean that too! We've been weathering out some frosty nights.... We don't run our generator at night for heat so it gets pretty nippy in here by morning but that's okay, we get along. I took that picture of the frosty plants the other morning when we had to take our van in for repairs.  You can see a video HERE if you're interested.  They had to do something underneath and then while they had it up, gave us a great deal on an entire exhaust set up.  But back to the frosty cold....we saw that this morning, in the hearts of the people we met.  We stood out with our signs and brother Jim preached the gospel, outside a man made religious place.
