Beautiful Night Sounds and Love

Image
Greetings Sisters! I pray this night brings you peace and that you will be energized for what the Lord will have for you tomorrow! As we were settling in for the evening I was listening to the frogs and looking at the moon thinking how peaceful and beautiful the sounds and scenery were and made a little video... We are blessed with tranquility here and although we appreciate it, we are ready for what's coming up ahead of us once we are gone from this area.  It's all about the glory of the Lord and in this dark world we look forward to shining His light even more. We have to run errands tomorrow for a good portion of the day so I'm looking forward to who the Lord might bring into our life to witness to.  We will also be hitting a thrift store and potentially a dent and bent that we haven't been to in a while. ( I like looking for stock up items for the road; dry goods that are light weight, quick to cook but healthy.)  It's also a pretty drive by a nice

Good Food, Gross Ticks and Praises for a Brother

Good evening sisters! I hope your day was joyous in the Lord and if not, I pray you have a peacefilled evening and that tomorrow your joy will return. I t is of the  Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23 Press on sisters, to the mark set before us and soon this fading world will be nothing compared to where we will spend eternity.  Sometimes it's hard when you are in the midst of trials or tests but as the Word says, we will face them and be refined on the other side.  The joy of the Lord is our strength amen? Nehemiah 8:10 I like to always put in encouragement for those who might be struggling and I'm sure there are plenty of you that need uplifting as I know there are days I do as well.  We who have no struggles in this day need to be there for those who do as maybe tomorrow we may need them ourselves. I don't have a lot going on to share to

Then and Now The Sin of Deception and the Fate of Feminism

Image
Good morning sisters! Here we find ourselves in another day, a gift of the Lord.  Let us redeem the time wisely... Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16 Today I wanted to share with you about deception and how satan comes after women by using false teachers. Let's read about that in 2 Timothy 3: 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7  Ever learning, and never a

Where's Brother Jim???????

Greetings Sisters! I hope this finds you strong in the Lord and trusting in His promises and they are all in Christ: For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthians 1:20. Let us not be dismayed: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 I had to practice this just the other day, let me share a story with you... A couple days ago we were traveling through Iowa on a dark drizzly day when I asked brother Jim to let me run into a store real quick to get something for the trip.  He dropped me off and said he would go over to the gas station next to the store, then come back and park in the parking lot.   So I go inside the store, get what I want and then come back outside.  It was still raining out pretty good so I had my head down as I walked through the parking lot to th

A Precious New Soul is Added to a Godly Family

Greetings Sisters! What a joyous gift to be alive another day to serve the Lord!   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58) We are in the midst of coming back from our quick trip to Missouri to drop off some things then heading back to Wisconsin to finish up (Lord willing) within 2 weeks if all goes well. In the meantime as we are traveling to and fro trying to get things done, we received joyous news!!! Our Father has blessed a godly family with another precious soul to raise in the admonition of the Lord.  A baby girl born just the other day, both mom and baby are doing well, last we heard.  This makes their family of 5, now a family of 6. I wanted to share this because I know you sisters will rejoice, in this dark world, for good news such as that!   Children are such a blessing and it's heartbreaking that most peopl

Saving Money #4 Food

Image
Greetings sisters! I hope this finds you all well and standing strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.  Ephesians 6:10 Today I want to share #4 how we save money.  I'm finding that oftentimes videos are harder to do than simply being able to plug away at a post when I get time, such as this one that I've been trying to finish for the last 4 days :-)  So here is what we do to save money on food.  In #3 I talked about how we save money buying things like food etc but this one will be on 'what we buy' for food. It's pretty simple... we eliminate a lot of choices. If you haven't noticed there's not only a huge amount of choices within one product line, there are tons of choices in various products  themselves.  For example.  I grew up eating a lot of potatoes, they either came from the garden or were bought in, 5, 10, 25 and 50 lb bags.  We either baked, fried, mashed, scalloped, used in soup or made them into a simple casserole (meat, pot

Keeper of the (Rolling) Home

Image
Greetings to my keeper at home, godly sisters! To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:5 (In my case I have a rolling home lol :-) I want to encourage you sisters to take a moment to realize what a grand calling this is, being the keeper at home.  It's not just saying women should 'stay' home like most people emphasize, it is much more than that.  A godly woman is to be a strong fortress in her home through the word of God, not becoming like we see in 1 Timothy 3:6-7 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. * She is to be the gate keeper and not allow any sin to enter in and infect her home.  (If she has an unbelieving husband than she does the best she can in what affects her.)     Prove all things; hold fast
