A Colorful Drive

Greetings and godly love in the name of our Savior! Revelation 12:10-12 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. [12] Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Our great hope is to come sisters, strive on! We are working our way north, witnessing along the way. I hope you don't tire of God's creation because I have a lot to share with you!  Here's a little chippy:) I put out bread and nuts and he found them. So did this little squirrel:-) God's beautiful fall foliage, I hope you

Witnessing in Anabaptist Land

Image
Good evening sister saints! I hope your day was joyous and victorious in the Lord!  We are traveling along and thanking the Lord for all the beauty in His countryside. Praise God I am having more opportunities to witness like this morning for instance as we are in an area with a lot of anabaptists. We stopped at a discount grocery store and when seeing the anabaptist woman working there, brother Jim went out to get an anabaptist tract while I shopped.  (You can read our tract here: http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/search/label/Anabaptist%20tract )  He gave it to me and said to share it with her, then left for me to finish up. After I checked out, I gave it to her saying that brother Jim is a street preacher and we travel around encouraging people to come out of man made religion and go deeper into God's word.  She smiled and I continued by saying that we call all people out even the anabaptists as they also do not keep all the truth.  She nodded and agreed

Fall Foliage and Flesh Killing

Greetings dear sister saints! I pray you are all well and enjoying the new season coming.  For us here it is fall...our most favorite time of the year! Today on our travels I took some pictures to share with you.  After that we were able to drive through the countryside:-) Yay!!! The colors aren't even at peak and are already beautiful :-) Our Father made all that!  Unfortunately the pictures look so flat compared to the vibrancy of real life but you may enjoy them anyway! But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Psalm 5:11 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved. Philippians 4:1 Blessed [are] they that keep judgment, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all times. Psalm 106:3 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteous

Walmart Witnessing and Work

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! How is your day going?  We are doing well here, thankful to the Lord, traveling and working.  Yes, I haven't said much about it but brother Jim and I still work, as a team, using our skills from our past office jobs and being mobile as we go. Praise God it allows us to continue to do what we do for the Lord, we are so thankful!!! This morning a woman drove up to our van while we were still in the Walmart parking lot.  She claimed to be like us (that's what she said), in ministry, yet she said it was in a way nobody knew. (Not sure how that works?)  I got out of the van to give her a gospel card and as soon as she laid eyes on me, her demeanor changed, not for the good.  I spoke to her for a short time and when we saw she was a very contentious woman, I stopped and brother Jim held her hard to God's word.  She tried to talk all over him, saying that her pastor teaches from the bible but when asked if they celebrate Christ-mass she lied and said n

Who Will We Be?

Greetings to our obedient, steadfast sisters in Christ! We are in the northern midwest heading even more north and then some more! Lord willing of course. Brother Jim and I have been talking about how although the body of Christ is few and far between, scattered abroad, we are all together...in Spirit and that's the most important thing. If we look at this life as a job for the Lord, then we stop living it for us and trying to appease our flesh, and instead focus on the tasks at hand.   God has given us all ministries right in the lives we have.  We have to be careful and see that lest we be looking past and wanting something else that God may not have for us.  We all have to continuously evaluate this in our lives to make sure we are living for Him and not us and what we would like to do.   Don't look at who you are today and what you don't know or can't do, look at who you will become if you trust in Him to guide you. Psalm 31:3  For thou art my rock and m

Keep It Simple

Greetings sisters in Christ, I pray you are all strong in the Lord, leaning on Him for all things.  It seems like that's a daily battle of the flesh, to look to the Lord and not get swept away or weakened.  It's also a mindset adjustment that the Word can do for us if we fill ourselves up on it.   I love the message of Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. [3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. [5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. It sounds so simple doesn't it? Then

A Peaceful Place to Park

Greetings sisters in Christ! I pray you are striving on and not being led astray by fear, doubt, false doctrine, weak flesh etc.  Stand strong on the Word and you will stand strong in this World.  We have been very busy in the ministry and we see the older we get and the longer we walk this path of truth in Christ, the more we have to remind ourselves to keep our focus where it is most important and not allow distractions.  You can imagine what sort of contact we have from people, oftentimes helping them out tremendously only to have them do what looks to be, tossing the truth aside to follow their own way.  (We pray seeds were planted.)  We can be stretched very thin if we don't remember to keep those 'boundaries'.  Brother Jim is going to do a teaching on personal help vs spiritual help and I'll share it when he does.  It's too easy to become too involved in people's personal lives and it takes the focus of what we are here for, to strengthen and raise up peo
