See If There Be Any Wicked Way In Me

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! There was .... Wickedness :-( For a short time, in me today, after I got off a 2 hour phone call that did nothing and I'll have to do it all again tomorrow.  (Technology, that's all I'll say lest I go backwards...)  Brother Jim knew I was crabby and I was fighting in my flesh, but not doing very well at it.  He said something to the effect that if this is the worst thing we have going on then we're doing pretty good.  My thought was ' you're not the one who has to do it ' and I dropped that like a hot rock because he's right.  We have the hope of eternal life, how can we let little things overtake us when we should be overtaking them? For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:4-5 It could be that I was weakened by physical struggles, then worn down

Ain't Happenin'

Greetings sisters in Christ! Let us rejoice that we are not in bondage to sin and are free in Christ!  This morning I was going into the grocery store to refill a gallon of water and had an interesting experience.  First off let me say that we live in America, ' the land of the free and home of the brave ' or so they say, yet many are living in bondage and fear over the ' virus ' propaganda. Hmmmm.....  But, there are many areas in the country that people won't fall for it and are maskless, brother Jim and I included unless it's a place that absolutely will not allow you to enter without one.  We then either honor their request or go elsewhere. (I want to add that it's a liberty / conscience issue when it comes to masks and a person can choose to wear one because they have serious health issues etc.)  So I was walking through the store, maskless, to get my water when I walked by 2 older men sitting across the table from one another. (It looked like a tempor

Heading Into The Unknown

Image
Good evening sisters in Christ! Are you striving on?  Are you victorious in the faith?  Are you relying on the strength of the Lord to carry you through?  Do you trust our Heavenly Father that He is in control?  I pray you said yes to those and if you didn't, I will pray that it may be true for you tomorrow.  His mercies are new every day and when we fall down we have an advocate as we see in 1 John.   Let us take each day and live that one, not worrying about what's tomorrow because we don't know if God will make us endure through that or if we will be home with Him.  Amen? Every day that we get is like heading into the unknown isn't it?  We have no clue what will happen.  Will our lives be turned upside down by tragic news?  Will we receive some blessed news?  We can't live for tomorrow, nor can we even live for the next moment, we must live in what we have been given, taking every thought captive as we're instructed. (For the weapons of our warfare are not c

The Gas-less Generator

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! How is your day or evening going?  We are doing well!  It's been raining most of the day so we decided to just park all afternoon and evening and stick out the rain until tomorrow.  With the dampness and chilly temps it makes it pretty cold so we dug out the little heaters, put up the blankets on the door and windows and were all set up for the duration of the evening, working online ministry.  It was getting pretty cozy as the heaters tried to outdo the cold air.     And then... We heard it. That dreaded sound.   I looked up at brother Jim and said ' OH NO!!!!! " The lights flickered. The heaters turned off. And it went dark. The generator ran out of gas :-(   So we took down the window coverings and brother Jim started the van. We are now all cozied back up in the van, finishing our ministry work.   That's my attempt at trying to capture the moment with my lack of drawing skills:-) We just roll with what happens in life and always being o

Lighting The Way

Image
Good day sisters in Christ! Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth  me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.  John 8:12 The light has come into the world and we, that follow it, are blessed to be released from the darkness, through the good news of the gospel .  A transformed life goes from darkness to light, and we sisters are a light in this dark world that might help lead someone else out of the darkness!  Praise God for His mercy and goodness! Brother Jim did a few more things to the van, like added a gospel sign holder, you can see that here: http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2020/11/van-dweller-tip-46-gospel-sign-holder.html It makes it so much easier than strapping them to the top of the generator hut or having to dig out the ladder and put them on top of the van, of which I call the upstairs:-)  Now we can have them out at a moments notice and they stay clean and dry.  A simple plastic board w

A Scripture Stroll

Good evening to our sisters who love the Lord! We thank the Lord for you all who are striving and diligently doing the work the Lord has set before you.   This morning we had a little time before we had to leave so we took a little walk through a small town. We made a video to encourage you all... As we walked through the town, discussing what is coming before us, we were blessed with a beautiful, cool and breezy day. We saw some scriptures on the windows of a small business. Amen. If only people would stop to ponder this precious word that God has given us. This is a bit short of the gospel, you can see a complete biblical gospel HERE . Let's put this one in context. Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you,

Souper Smart Youth

Good afternoon to our striving sisters in Christ! Praise God for another day and we've been blessed with good weather although the wind is something fierce today (and the past few days) so it's not very good for holding signs.  That's okay because there's always much to do in the ministry so we stopped at a park for a while. Brother Jim is doing some things in the generator hut and I'm having a little chocolate and nut snack.... ...and writing to my sisters:-)  On our way to this destination we drove through farmland, countryside.  We both grew up in it so we're thankful to be able to partake of it on our travels. In a recent POST I mentioned about my new diffuser and why I got it....I thought I'd show you a picture of one reason. It hauls livestock and they sure can be SMELLLLLLY to not only follow after but have one idling beside you all night.  In comes my diffuser which will give us a bit of relief:-) Yesterday I was texting our oldest grandson.
