Showing Strength of the Lord

Image
Greetings to our sister saints:-) Praise the Lord for this day to serve Him!  Today, washing clothes, I was pondering an audio to make for you sisters and what came to mind was the strength of the Lord and how we can show it to those around us.   You can also find it HERE on the sisters audio page.  It was a beautiful day, almost like spring, but I'm sure more cold is coming for a while but that's okay too:-) That's a wonderful and loving God but the verses that follow are not what we sisters saints want to hear.. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. [3] For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. Isaiah 59:2-3  Let us examine ourselves and ask the Lord to help us do so...   Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead

Little Things Add Up

Image
Greetings sisters in the Lord! (Thank you sister for the scripture pictures:-) How was your day?  Ours was busy and I'm thankful for the health I have to do what I can do.  Yesterday I had to tear the inside of the van apart so brother James could get to some wiring down at the bottom (under everything of course) and ran better wires and today I put it all back together and was rejoicing that project was done!  I was also rejoicing that the Lord had mercy on me and it didn't cause too many painful issues and I was able to keep working through the day!!!  Seems like small things to do but when you have physical issues to deal with, sometimes the small things can seem really big.  Speaking of which, brother James gave me an idea on a video for you sisters, about the little things adding up. I mentioned this verse in the video... For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:   Isaiah 28:10  And if we sist

A Godly Woman's Witness Without a Word (and Titus 2 recipes)

Good day to our godly, holy sister saints! Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.   John 8:12  I made an audio to encourage us sisters in our silent witness to the world... Praise God we get to partake of His precious truth and promises! (You can go HERE to listen to it on the sisters audio page.) And of course more Titus 2 works going on.  I had some cans of lentils and lentil soup that I can't eat anymore so I'll show you how I recycle them into a yummy dip for brother James.    And more of my soup making:-) I thought I'd try something really simple like potato green bean soup with onion and garlic. I was chopping garlic and admiring how God has it all packaged up in protective covering.   When I think of garlic, this comes to mind... We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the

A Day in the Life

Image
Good day sister saints! Praises to our heavenly Father for one more day of His grace and mercy and the hope of eternal life for those who are His. We live this life for the Lord, not for ourselves and to see how good we can make our lives. We're here to glorify God through our transformed life be His witness to the world.  We sisters are always encouraging one another to keep pressing on in our duties and godly, holy women and just doing that is a great shining light of truth to those around us.  Then when we share the GOSPEL and plant seeds with others, that's even more truth shining in a dark place.   Several years ago I wrote about the attributes of a godly woman and thought I would repost them here again (as I think I have in the past) but it's good for us to remind ourselves.  Gracious : kindness, favor (Proverbs 11:16)   Virtuous : valor, strength, able, might(Proverbs 12:4) Sober : to make of sound mind, to discipline/correct (Titus 2:4) Chaste : properly, clean, in

Focusing on the Lord and not the Flesh

Image
Greetings sister saints who love the Lord and whom I love in the Lord! I hope your day went well?  Ours was busy and good, getting many things done and rejoicing in the Lord for it all.   Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the Lord ; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel.  Judges 5:3 I made an audio about focusing on the Lord and not our flesh. You can also find it HERE on the sisters audio page.  It's a good reminder (reminders are good, keep giving them to me:-) for us all to examine our focus and if it's on the Lord and where it should be.  I'm thankful for my sisters in Christ who are all about Him and working hard in their lives to overcome anything that gets in the way as He is worthy to be praised! Thank you sister for the scripture pictures.  I love that "The god of my life"  What wonderful words that say so much.  (No longer is the god of my life myself or all my vain pursuits.) Today brother James cut down a dead

What a Headcovering is Not and What it Should Be

Image
Greetings sister saints ! I hope your day was joyous in the Lord and you are standing on His truth in all ways!  Just the other day I did an audio about working in a skirt and so I thought I'd do one on headcoverings today.   And you can also find it HERE on the sisters audio page.  (And I will link some articles at the bottom of the page.)  Let us rejoice in our service of the Lord and press one another on to do so as we see our sisters who walked before us. Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.   Acts 9:36  Off grid living is certainly a challenge for the Titus 2 woman especially when it comes to water.   This is literally "ice water". (You can see the ice chunk) But with a little patience and a woodstove, I remedied that issue.  In the winter I wash clothes in the sink unless it's big things and then I wait until the weather breaks a bit.
