The Reality of Life

Image
Good evening sisters in Christ! Let us sing and rejoice in the Lord for all He has done and the hope of eternal life that He offers us.  This world is so sad and dark, let us shine the joy and peace of the Lord that others might see. Last night was peaceful and relatively quiet but this morning turned into something else.  There was a small car a little ways away from us and we noticed it because the woman walked right by our van to go into the store and the man was out fixing and arranging their bedding.  I went in the store to get something and brother Jim text me a bit later, saying he moved the van because there was an incident with a man strung out on drugs.  You can watch the video brother Jim made HERE . (And he made an audio about sorcery and drugs in the last days, you can listen to it HERE .) Turns out it was that same man we watched organize their vehicle.  Brother Jim said that as the police came for the man and the ambulance was arriving, the woman ...

Finding a Place of Peace

Image
Peace to you sisters! How are you doing today?  We are joyous that the Lord has allowed us to make it back to Florida again for a couple months of street preaching.   On the way we made a video to encourage you all in this fast paced, every changing, busy world.  It's about finding a place of peace in your life, no matter what the circumstances are. We got stuck in a traffic jam, must have been a wreck on the highway.  They drive like maniacs here cutting in and out.... We saw tons of solar panels in fields. Then on an exit ramp we saw some of the famous egrets that walk all over the ditches here.  Brother Jim made a video. As soon as we got here we did a couple things and then went to our parking spot.  Not long after a man came by in a scooter chair and offered us a gospel tract.   He and brother Jim talked for quite a while and I never thought I'd see the day that we met a man that talked about the Lord as much as brother Jim:-)...

Got a Lot Done On This Trip

Image
Praises to our obedient sisters! May the Lord be glorified in our lives, amen! Once again I have no clue what to title my post and sometimes I'm pretty black and white, lacking creativity and other days, well it flows better. We have a destination in mind that once we get there, we will hold up for several days working online ministry, street sign flying and potentially go stand out at a religious place.  We are 2 hours away and planning on being there tomorrow, Lord willing. It was a beautiful day to travel and we actually accomplished a lot during this trip.  In one town, we really redeemed the time: * Free lunch from a coupon * Completed a job * Took a walk  * While taking a walk brother Jim made an audio * Redeemed a coupon for bagels in a store * While in the store getting bagels I gave the gospel to a woman worker * Free water from the gas station * Brother Jim gave the gospel to two gas station workers When we arrived in this town (thanking the Lord) for the night,...

Win Him Without A Word But Don't Wait

Image
Greetings, love and blessings to our faithful sisters in Christ! I pray you are standing strong on the Word and not letting anyone or circumstances sway you from the truth!   Today I want to give encouragement to sisters who are married to professed believers that are not fully obeying the Word whether they just don't see it or are in outright rebellion. We know there are women who are further along in the truth than their professing husbands and I'm here to encourage you to quietly live out your obedience and not be swayed or stumbled by his disobedience. 1 Peter 3 instructs godly women what to do in such situation: Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;  While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.  Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;...

A New Destination

Image
Praise the Lord for the end of another day, amen sisters? Well, it's not quite the end but getting there.  Sometimes ours ends at 11:00 pm and sometimes several hours later but at some point...it ends and the next one begins.   Our day began with heading down the highway, heading south, to our next destination. We made a video for you and if it doesn't play here you can see it on our website HERE . Killing the flesh is what we all have to do, in various ways, according to the life we have to live.  The flesh we kill may not be what you have to kill and vice versa but it's all something that must be done.  In our case, a great deal of flesh being killed is making ourselves go out into the world and proclaim the truth, when we know how much the world didn't like it from the beginning. Death of our Savior and the saints that followed Him as the proof of that.  There's nothing new under the sun and so it shall be again.   I often think of the p...

Preaching, Police and Pretend Meat

Image
Glory to the Lord sisters!   We are rejoicing that the Truth of God was declared in this wicked world today.  We started out by going to a place called 'Church on the Hill' here in Georgia.  They got mad and called the police, who also were not too happy about us being there, you can see it all HERE .  The interesting thing is that this man named 'Gil' stopped to talk to brother Jim yesterday while I was in the store.  He told brother Jim about their religious body and said he agrees with what we do.  So brother Jim decided to go there and do what we do...needless to say he did not come out and talk and instead they hollered at us to leave then called the police as you can see from the videos.   After that, we pulled in to take a rest and upload the videos so that we can warn our neighbors about such places when a man walked by brother Jim and commented on the van's gospel signs and he got the gospel. Then we went out on the street to h...

Some Things Never Change

Image
Sisters, let us sing praises to our Savior! He is the Almighty One, Everlasting and Eternal.   For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 He is our rock and our salvation, never changing and the One who we take hold of and count on. Brother Jim said I should do a post about ' some things never change ' and use this bread tie that has been around since we've been children.  (Brother Jim is currently 58 and I'm 52 if that helps any:-)  It was made this way that long ago and it's still being made this way today.   Brother Jim shared some pictures of things that have not changed much over the times... They still use barrells such as this that were made many years ago. Mothers use rocking chairs for fussy babies and the elderly use it for exercise. The good old shovel... for sno...
