Greetings sisters, Below you will read our teaching on biblical dress vs modest dress. I pray it blesses you and encourages you to obey. ****************************************** Quite often while speaking to professed believers or in testing religious body's claiming Christ, we come across the word 'modest' (or conservative) in reference to the clothing of a godly woman.  (In the past we may have used that word incorrectly and as we come across articles with it we will correct it.)  This article is to distinguish the vast difference between the commonly used phrase 'modest dress' vs 'biblical dress'. How many of you have heard the word 'bling'?  It's a common slang word, used by the world to describe flashy jewelry or accessories.  For example, check out this truck all decked out with flashy accessories...bling. It's clear to see this truck has been decorated to enhance and show it off. A regular truck can be a great accessory for a farm, a business or for the average person who hauls a lot of large items, but when you add all this bling to it, it becomes something else.  The world will look and say " Wow, that's awesome! "  or  " Wow that guy is filled with pride ." Greetings Sisters! I hope this day finds you well and seeking the peace and joy and comfort in the promises of our Father in heaven!  Today I wanted to write about clothing and send a brief reminder that clothes are sin coverings.  They are not to be a part of our personality, or be fashionable, or fancy, costly or pretty.   Clothing should be nothing more than loose cloth covering your body.  Should we care if the world stares?  Should we care if the world thinks we look frumpy or drab?  Our clothing should mean nothing to us but a thankfulness that our Father has provided for us.  Read Genesis 3 how He covered Adam and Eve.   Just as if someone walked in on you in the shower... you would be thankful for a big blanket to toss over yourself to cover your nakedness, so should our clothes be. But godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Hello Sisters, I just wanted to make a quick post on how to sew a simple girls dress using a Tshirt and some fabric to sew on the bottom.  I looked and cannot find the original source of this hand draw picture as I found it on many websites. Here are the blown up steps: Keep in mind that Tshirts are okay for undeveloped girls and be sure that it has sleeves on it.  Also you want plain, unadorned materials in keeping with 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Peter 3. Remember, these are simple cloths to cover the body so if you don't do it exactly right or something is a bit crooked, your daughter won't care, neither will God! I hope this helps you. Hello sisters! We were asked some questions about how a woman can keep her head warm in the winter considering she has her hair up and the headcovering on.   Stocking caps are an option but it's hard to pull on a cap over hair that has been put up and then still having the headcovering on and not to mention trying to keep the headcover in place when removing it.  So, I decided to do a quick video about how I wrap my head in the winter months.  (I also have ear muffs that I can use under my scarves if need be.) That big black scarf that I show in the first part of the video is a favorite article of clothing because it's useful for many things.  Not only is it good as a headscarf for cold weather including covering part of my face from the wind....when we are out on the road traveling on mission work sometimes in the evenings when gets cool I like use it as a shawl and there are times I like to take my hair down but not have to be secluded in our van while we a

Hello Sisters! If you are like me, you may have a hard time finding skirts that are long enough and not adorned.  If so, I have come up with a really quick and basic skirt you can easily sew (if I can sew it anyone can!) and simple to adjust to your measurements. Below you will find a rough hand sketch of how to do it.  My suggestion is to make the bottom as wide as possible so it's easier to walk depending on how long your walking stride is. On the instructions it says to fold the fabric which worked for the piece I had, you may need to buy 2 pieces and lay them out separately, which is easy to do as well.   Add caption First you want to lay out your fabric with the good side facing each other.   Take your waist measurement and divide it by 2 then add 2 inches. (I encourage you to be generous on the measurements)  Mark that on the top of the fabric for the waist.  Draw a chalk angle line outward to the bottom then cut. Make sure to angle wide enough
