A Day In The Life (June 19, 2021)

Image
Good evening sisters! I hope your day is joyous in the Lord!  I shared this with a sister today and wanted to share it here to encourage us all.  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of G

Taking a Walk Around a Lake

🌼 Good day sister saints! 🌼  This post is being written several days before this because, Lord willing, we will be preaching the GOSPEL on this day in a busy tourist town and then potential travel in the afternoon so I wanted to make sure I loaded up some love and encouragement for you sisters. We were at a park and it was so pretty I thought I'd make some videos for you, first reading from Psalms. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Then I walked to the other side of the lake on the walking path and on the way back, took you with. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊 🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾 🥀🌺🏵️💐🌹🌸🌷🌼🌻 A simple quiet walk with the Lord, sharing it with you all.  It's such a busy and crazy world that it's a blessing to have such a time and I wanted you to partake of it, although it's not the same on video but the thought is behind it:-) Praise God for the love of the brethren.  Let us all continue to encourage one another on this walk... But exhort one another daily, while it is cal

Van Life Thermal Cooking Rice with Veggies

Image
⛅ Good afternoon sisters! 🌥️ Hey, today I have another cooking video showing how easy it is to thermal cook 🍚 rice as brother Jim has been asking me to do these to help brothers also. This is great in the van 🚐 life (or RV, tiny house or even a big regular house 🏡:-) because it's super simple and saves 💵 $$ energy $$ 💵.  One thing I didn't mention is that I have even thermal cooked the rice in the pot 🍲 I boiled  it...you just bring it to a boil for a couple minutes, turn it off and wrap it in a blanket or towels  for 30 minutes 🕧 so anyone can do this without any special kitchen gadgets. You can check out the video and I'll add more comments 💬 afterwards. I suggest you make more rice 🍚 than you need and have left overs for the next day(s).  If you live out of a cooler like we do, you want to cool ❄️the rice down first so you don't melt your ice:-)   Rice is super economical, for instance:  I used 1 1/4 cup rice in the video and it made enough for 3 generous

Tomato Soup and Tasks

Good evening sister saints! We've been thankful to be very busy both in ministry and in physical work.  Lots of tasks getting done and we're getting closer to getting back on the road, Lord willing, that is.  How are you all doing?  I'm sure some are planting seedlings for their gardens and praying the Lord will allow a good harvest at the end. 🍎   🥭   🌶️   🧅   🥕   🌽   🍉   🥑   🥬   🍓   🍠   🍒    The other day while washing clothes outside under the porch roof, I was thankful for what the Lord has blessed us with.  I was out of the sun, hand washing clothes with all the water I could use as we had just filled the barrels from the well....and I had a flashback to who I used to be before Christ, sitting in an office or trying not to look out the window of a plane while flying off to business meetings.  What a joy to be redeemed from a wicked sinful woman to a Titus 2 God fearing woman who is striving to be obedient to Him.  I'm blessed and I hope you all see th

Van Life Rice, Asparagus and Chicken Recipe (with video)

Image
Good day sister saints! Just doing my Titus 2 duties here and sharing a video of how simple it is to make healthy meals in the van life (tiny house living).  These have been helpful to other saints so we will keep making them as encouragement for them. I only have one burner so I have to cook things in stages and in one pot, but it really doesn't take much time or propane at all.  Here's a brief description for you to see how simple it is. Asparagus for .99 cents (on sale) 1 package of precooked rice .99 cents (on sale) 1/5th lb of ground chicken .57 (on sale) $2.55 for the meal.  Now if I had prepared ahead of time, I could have cooked my own rice for about .10 cents, thereby saving .89 cents on the meal.  But it is good to show that even some convenience foods (like precooked rice) still save people money vs buying your food out.  Normally I use a can of of vegetables (.50 cents) or frozen which run about .80 cents / lb. with 2 generous meals from it. (Asparagus was a treat

Van Life Chili (with video)

Image
Greetings sister saints! Brother Jim wanted to make a quick video to help van dwellers (or any other rolling mini home) make a healthy and inexpensive meal of chili. He wants to link such things in his van dwelling page that you can find HERE . I hope you enjoyed that and we'll be sharing more with you.    Praise the Lord for all He provides and let us be content with what we have. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (1 Timothy 6:6-8) And most important  is the gospel, which is why we are out here sharing it with the world. You can find that HERE and test yourself. Love in Christ, Sister Deb

Preaching and Pottage-Red Lentil Soup Recipe (with videos)

Good evening to my obedient sisters in the Lord! How was (or is) your day?  I made a video for you before we headed out to go do some witnessing at an event. It turned out to be an awesome place for preaching as the people were lined up waiting to get into the festival, so we walked along them until we got to the entrance then stood there throughout the rest of the day. You can see the videos HERE if you are interested.  It was a very full day of sharing the truth of God's Word and we were joyous that many gospel cards were taken.  We don't massively hand them out but instead we stand off to the side and hold them out, letting people make the effort to reach or walk over to get one.  Praise God for the truth to go out and we pray there was a sheep among them.  Well, there was this woman who took a card, made a cross sign, smiled and walked off before I could say anything.  She came back later and thanked us for the card and talked for a bit of which we gave her much truth to

A Solar Dryer and Pan Pizza

Image
Greetings to my hard working, obedient sisters in the Lord! Our day was joyous and very busy, how was yours?  I thought I'd share some Titus 2 moments from the day.  Last night I hand washed some clothes and then as we were driving today, I tossed them up on the dash of the van to dry.  Even though the temps were a bit chilly, the sun shining in the windshield made it nice and warm so they dried during the drive:-)  I washed some more today but it's supposed to rain tomorrow so they'll be hanging around for a while! Apparently some people dehydrate food on the dash of their vehicles, you just shut the windows but leave a small crack, then let the sun do it's work.  That only works for vehicles that are not constantly driving down the road, like ours.  We've had a nice route of work so we're going to take the day off from travel and hold up until the rain passes.   Brother Jim asked me this afternoon if I had any coupons for a pizza from our favorite place (they
