A Child is an Open Book

Image
Greetings sisters in Christ! We are thanking the Lord for safe travels today!  When we got to our destination we were blessed with this sight: It only lasted a few minutes and then was gone. (The colors don't come through well on this picture.)  There were some people standing in the parking lot when brother Jim and I took a picture and they were nonchalant about it, like it was no big deal and kept about their conversation.  But when you are a true child of God, His works are wonderful and you stop to give him the glory in it all.   Amen, how glorious is He! It makes me think of the 'story books' for children and one of the most popular is Noah's Ark.  I recall that as a child and reading it to my own children (before I was in Christ) and I always wondered about what surrounded that 'story'.  Well after I was born born again I saw that it's not a 'story' but a true account and what most of the books don't tell you is that it was al

Consistent Correction for Children

Good evening sisters! Today brings us a rainy, chilly day but glorious in the Lord.  We rejoice to serve Him and I hope you do as well. The other day we were working online and I went out to the van to do something.  As I came back in I saw a little boy about 3 or 4 years old sitting on his seat by his parents,  quietly eating his sandwich.  He spun around in his chair to wave Hi to me as I sat down by brother Jim. I smiled and waved back at him.   Just as I was about to comment on how well behaved he was, brother Jim said this: "You should have seen that little boy when they first walked in here.  He was running around pushing chairs, making a lot of noise and not listening to his parents.  The father took his arm, walked him into the bathroom and I heard some crying.  He walked out with his dad and sat quietly on his chair, behaving his parents." That little boy did very well the whole time they were there until they were getting ready to leave, he misbehaved

He That Spareth His Rod Hateth His Son

Greetings sisters! We are praising God for being in the right place at the right time!  Halelujah! This morning brother Jim was planning for us to stand outside of a religious place but changed his mind and said we will go fishing / work online with our bible out and praise God, some fish walked right in and over to our table!  A man and 6 young teen boys walked up and said they were from a religious organization and they were out for the day asking people questions and listening to their answers.  They asked brother Jim a few light faith based questions and then were going to leave but he gave them all a gospel card.  As they left, Jim went outside to talk to them further and was able to verbally share the gospel and show them the false teachings and lies of man made religion. Seeds were sown this morning and we are thankful to be used of the Lord.  Brother Jim said ' that's why we live in a van, so we can be out here in the world .'  Yesterday we were in a parking l

Homemade Children's Learning Toys

Greetings sisters, in the name of the Lord. I send you all a cyber 'holy hug' of sisterly love.  Every day that I get to post on here is a joy because it's my way of showing love, care and encouragement to you.  I'm sure the Lord has you all busy in your own ways of showing love to others, all in different ways. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35) It's one thing we see lacking on the true body of Christ: biblical love for one another....let it not be so among us. I was emailing with a sister about keepers at home subjects, (making homemade health products) and I mentioned how I used to make and sell them years ago when we were on the homestead.  I then remembered the learning toys I used to make and thought it might be a good post for those of you with children or grandchildre

A Precious New Soul is Added to a Godly Family

Greetings Sisters! What a joyous gift to be alive another day to serve the Lord!   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58) We are in the midst of coming back from our quick trip to Missouri to drop off some things then heading back to Wisconsin to finish up (Lord willing) within 2 weeks if all goes well. In the meantime as we are traveling to and fro trying to get things done, we received joyous news!!! Our Father has blessed a godly family with another precious soul to raise in the admonition of the Lord.  A baby girl born just the other day, both mom and baby are doing well, last we heard.  This makes their family of 5, now a family of 6. I wanted to share this because I know you sisters will rejoice, in this dark world, for good news such as that!   Children are such a blessing and it's heartbreaking that most peopl

Birds and Bible Study

Good morning sisters! I wonder if you are having a rainy morning like we are?  Living in our van that's all metal, we can clearly hear the rain on the roof but we like that.  Seems as if the weather will be wet for the next week or so but we're rejoicing that most of the outside work is done here at our WI home so this week will be inside work.  Brother Jim has a super charged motivation going on and has accomplished more in 2 weeks than we thought so we might be heading out sooner?...but we shall see. We are still being thankful and content no matter how things go on a daily basis because we don't know if tomorrow will be here for either of us and we don't want to waste today thinking about what's not here yet.  One day at a time in thankfulness, being content and praising God. I received this from a sister in another country, a bible study, homeschooling teaching for their children. We rejoice knowing young children are being raised in the ways of the Lo

Homemade Memory Game

Hello Sisters! Praise God for being able to encourage one another.  We have had a full day of 'one anothering' today with saints around the world.  We rejoice that we are able to help each other strive on in the things of God. I received an email from a sister showing how they are teaching their little girl English words by making a homemade memory game. For you sisters who are mothers in homeschooling, it's a nice idea and if you have good and godly activities that you are doing with your children, feel free to share and I'd be happy to post it for all to be edified from. We rejoice to know there are children being trained up in the ways of the Lord and we rejoice to be able to be even a small part of it so thank you for sharing with us older generation:-) Have a joyous evening sisters. House Camping...An Unique Idea For Families

Image
Greetings Sisters! As the Lord makes time for me to post here I shall fill up the cyberspace with good and godly things!  Amen! I wanted to share a unique idea that we were told about from a believing family in Christ that lives in Bulgaria.  The father, mother and young daughter are striving in obedience to God's Word in a very big, worldly city and although they love God's creation and the beauty of nature, they cannot get out into the countryside very often...so they made their own camping trip right in their living room. They set up the tent and played sounds of nature on the computer as they enjoyed the evening camping together:-) Brother Jim drew this picture for them. (It says 'Praise God'.  The arrow points to a doll and the tent says 'house tent'.) The mother sewed a sleeping bag for the little doll too! I wanted to share this with you in case you never thought of doing something like that. Know that you are not alone, there are

Encouragement to Mothers from A Mother

Image
Hello sisters! Let us rejoice in this day regardless of our trials and tribulations as our Lord and Savior has gone to prepare a place for us... In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2) We are only here in this flesh but for a short time compared to eternity!   For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time  are  not worthy  to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18) Today I wanted to share some encouragement with you sisters that have young children at home and this comes from another sister who has 3 young children with one on the way very soon!  She sent this as an encouragement to a specific sister we know but we decided to post it here for all sisters to be encouraged.  She gave me permission to do some minor adjustments in wording to fit everyone. Mothers need to know this - that it’s the world system that trains our brains as
