Air Drying Clothes on the Road and Being in the Right Place at the Right Time

Image
Greetings sisters! I pray your day was joyous in the Lord.  Are you standing strong?  We have the power of our Savior to help us and one day we can rest from wrestling the flesh:-) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.    So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?    The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  (1 Corinthians 15:52-57) Amen, that day will be a joyous one! Tonight as we were setting up for the evening someone drove up and asked about our mini

Immediate Obedience

Image
Greetings Sisters! If you heard me sing it would sound like noise but it would be joyful:-)  Have you ever had times where your heart was hurting so bad that you shed tears yet your spirit was uplifted and you could smile or make that joyful noise at the same time in thankfulness for what the Lord has done?  That's the awesome peace He can give us in all situations, IF we allow Him.  The problem is that our sinful flesh wants to hold on to whatever it is that's causing the pain, because we think we can do something about it and if we let it go then it means we are giving up and have lost.  But that's not true, if we give up to God whatever is hurting us, then we have put that situation in the best hands possible and have won the battle against our flesh and satan.  We can then move on, praise God! We've made it to one of our destinations in Wyoming and are thankful for the dry weather and breeze.  The summers out here are nothing compared to anywhere in the US

Now That's Love...

Image
Greetings to you sisters, in love! Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. (Psalm 143:8) Let us be thankful for a kind and loving God and share our lovingkindness with others. I have a funny story for you about love. We were at an onsite job for 2 days and last night we were blessed to find a free camp spot at a city park in a small town.  While we were there brother Jim asked me to give him a hair cut.  Well, I forgot to bring our trimmer that had measurement tools on it that makes a nice even cut and is super easy and fast to do.  What I had was a different trimmer that I had to improvise using a comb for measurement and it was all bearing on my judgement which wasn't too bad until I was almost done. I nipped it a bit close... But guess what?  I told brother Jim and he said 'who cares?'.   (He was so happy to have a hair cut:-) I too

A Thankful Helper

Hello sisters,  I hope your day was a joyous one! Praise the Lord, we are thankful for safe travels, safe working days and tomorrow we head on down the road toward another job that will finish us up and set us free for the summer for more ministry.   Tonight after we were all settled in our camp spot I made a video for you. We are moving on down the road do our next temporary destination. hanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15 Have joyous day! Sheep Among Wolves...The Workers Are Few But They Are Out There

Image
Hello sisters, I asked brother Jim to draw a picture and this is what he felt led to do. I add these verses... Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.  Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. (Luke 10:2-3) The workers are few but they are out there. Have a peaceful evening. Love, Sister Deb The biblical gospel... https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html

Pure Motives

Image
Greetings Sisters, We are rejoicing that the Lord has allowed us to safely arrive at our camp spot for the evening and then tomorrow we have a busy day of carving, maybe into the next day as well.  We shall see what tomorrow brings and go from there. Normally we camp at Walmart or other free spots but out here in the eastern part of Wyoming, there isn't much around the small town where our carving site is so I found us a city campground for a great price.  We took a nice long walk, enjoying the evening and the sunset.   As we were driving here today we were talking about motives, what drives us to do what we do as Christians and are our motives pure and for the Lord. I ask you sisters, are the works you do the fruit of being a believer, the result of being transformed and wanting to obey God and glorify Him or are they works to glorify man?  You may have an unbelieving or disobedient husband and 1 Peter 3 says to win him without a word.  Are your works moti

A Time of Refreshing

Image
Greetings sisters! Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord Today we stopped for short a time of refreshing at a lake that we really enjoy.  It's along the highway, in fact you can see and hear the traffic roaring by but yet we have this peaceful spot separated from it.  Makes me think of being the peculiar Christians that we are being in the world but not a part of it.  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9) It's always worked out to where there's either no one there or they are way down at the other end.  There are several camp spots along the gravel road, free :-) and with all the fish you want to look at, swimming up by the shore.  We love to sit and take a refreshing break.

Beautiful Lightning Storm and Peace of the Lord

Image
Greetings Sisters! Today I bring this verse to you. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.  Abstain from all appearance of evil.  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-23) Test all things sisters, especially your flesh to see if it is deceiving you. I know there are times I cannot see clearly because my flesh is in the way but the Spirit fights through for me and when I follow that instead of my flesh, the fight is won.  Praise God for that!  For instance, we've had a lot going the past several months and there were times I allowed my flesh (mind) to have it's way and it began to deceive me into resting in my own strength.  What that does is make you tired and feel weak.  Then it magnifies the issues into something way bigger than you.  But if we test our flesh (thoughts) and see if they are focused pro

His Mercy

Image
Greetings, sisters, in the name of the Lord! Our Father is merciful and compassionate not wanting any to perish.  Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.  He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:18-19) Several days ago our day started out very blessed with brother Jim sending off a brother in the Lord on another venture in the world until we can meet up again. And this is what we got to see while we drank our morning coffee, sitting in the door of our camper van, thanking the Lord for His mercy. I'll never tire of this verse... It is of the  Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.    They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.   (Lamentations 3:22-
